Well Ladies, I hope that everyone had a great week!! I won't be on for long tonight as I felt kinda crummy all day. I'm only planning on answering Pg 7 tonight...

Maggie - all those Chipotle Sauces (and the Peppercorn one, too) sound heavenly!! It's a shame that they're soooo expensive!!

Evie - Sounds like your morning was very productive!! Try not to worry too much about the boys... and just think of all the gas money they'll save by riding motorcycles instead of cars!! I suspect that your son is right about the puppies - depending on where you live with both parents papered you could ask as much as $700 each for them. That's what my Corgi cost - and he's not even 'show quality' - not that I give a hoot!! LOL! He's my baby, and an important part of the family!! I say ask high and then if you find somebody that really seems right, but they can't afford them - give them a discount.

Susie-Pumpkin - Hosting a college student sounds like so much fun! And sooo much hard work!! LOL!! If you really enjoy it that much you can come organize my house ANYTIME!! LOL!! Sorry to hear that you have to buy another car!! YIKES! I can barely afford one.

Good Morning to everyone...

  It has been a long week here with the heat wave,  It has been in the 90's for the last 3-4 days and today is suppose to be the worst day of all.  No relief in site until Sunday when it should only be in the mid 80;s...lol.

  Its been tough at work all week with the heat.  I work at a day program with handicapped adults and when it gets this hot (over 90) or it is an ozone alert day, the whole building is in lock down...they don't let us leave unless it is an absolut nessecity.  So needless to say everyone has been extremely restless because alot of them don't understandwhy they can't go out in the community for fun activities like picnics at the park and such.  We at times even have to cancel commitments we have to deliver Meals on Wheels because of the heat, because most of the vans we have to use are getting old and the air conditioning dosen't work well or at all in some of them so we can't use them in the extreme heat.

Paula...my prayers go out to you and your DHand his family...I am so sorry to hear of your loss.

Rebecca Lee...Sorry to hear you were not feeling well.

Micki...I am glad you ennjoyed your evening out at the movies.  I haven't seen Hancock yet.  My DH and I actually won free passes to see that movie the night before it opened to the public but we were unable to attend.  I do really enjoy going out to the movies though.

Susie-Pumpkin...My prayers go out to the youth group and especially for Tyler's family.

Jeanie...Thats too bad that you couldn't go to the cottage with your family...it sounds like they will be having fun...BUT...having the house to yourself for a few days isn't a bad thing either...

Amy...I think its awesome that the kids all want to help you cook/bake.  I hope it all worked out.

Laurie...Wow...you sure have been busy canning!  Everything sounds wonderful!

Maryann..I hope you enjoy the wedding and happy birthday to your daughter.

Marcie...Sorry to hear you were feeling a little under the weather yesterday....I hope you feel better this weekend.

Well, I hope everyone has a wonderful day today...I am off to go blueberry picking right now.  I want to go before it gets too hot outside.  I need to tend to the garden before the hot sun comes out as well.  I already have the laundry started and I have also already made 2 huge pans of lasagna this morning, one for here and one I will drop off at my mothers house so she dosn't have to cook dinner.  I try to cook meals for her weekly as she is undergoing treatment for a re occurance of breast cancer.

Well, I woke up earlier than I thought I would this morning - but got started cleaning up.  I could ;manage without the family but I really do miss having another living being in the house and I really should have kept Henry - Heidi and her DH are coming over in a little while and we'll go shopping downtown.

Cleaning and getting into the corners there is dog hair everywhere.  DH commented that perhaps Henry is sick or something  because he vacuumed up last week.  Well II've taken the vacuum round a couple of times since then - although not quite as thoroughly - and actually I think its just the weather - its really been hot.   

 I was smart - before DH, DD and DD (dear dog) left I extracted a promise from DD that she would vacuum the van. ha ha.

 Hugs for everyone, and  to my two SS - I am so thankful to have you in my life.

Wow, is it humid today...I know we had a brief shower but I think the humidity just fell out of the air rather than rain.

MaryAnn, I hope you will be getting some relief from smoke and heat~it must be unbearable and I feel guilty for saying how awful it is here. Sisters, take care of yourselves!

PatE, I am with you...I wouldn't want to walk in Laurie's shoes! I don't think I could keep up~but those pickled beets sound pretty good! Actually, I am not as fond of the beets as I am the pickled eggs you can  make with them.

Karen, we don't have most of those stores, either. Sonic is finally moving it's way closer to us as they used to be all down south.

Marcia, that is really good news about your friend. Since we have an expanding prayer list, I am going to add one more. My friends DD is not fairing so well with her cancer and this little girl's cancer has returned in full force. She had chemo before and with this bout, she is going through radiation. She had just received her playset from MakeAwish but things are just not going well for our little gal. Please be sure to visit her site and say a prayer for her and her family.

A big hi to all I have missed~

The ol hippie had his heart checkup and the dr was pleased as he doesn't appear to be any worse. He doesn't heven have to go back to the dr for a YEAR! That kind of scares me as the last time the dr. said that, two months later he almost died...SO~we are looking on the bright side and that things will be well.

I am off to fix us some lunch~grilled sausage, 8-ball zucchini and melon. OMG, the melon is SO good this year! DH likes cantaloupe but I just love those juan canary melons...The zuke is a new one we planted~they are only as big as a pool ball, so I am anxious to see if they are even a bit different from regular zukes as they really aren't my favorite thing to eat.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend, Tomorrow is my DH Mac's 55th birthday (yes he is 20+ years older than me) we wrapped his gifts and we will make him a cake and go out for Dinner. He and my son malcom are grocery shopping right now, we had to plan the menu carefully with the stove missing one burner.

 Been a busy bee today.  :)  DGD is here.  We went shopping this am.  Came home made lunch and orgaized my spice cabinet.  I am now working on the office.  Will be stopping shortly to have a LITTLE fun finishing up a couple of birthday gifts.... I HOPE!  So do you think someone is feeling a bit neglected????   LOL.So pitiful!!!!  Maybe he wants Gracie to come over and play!

I have my chicken all shredded and ready for LindA's pizzaiola chicken sandwiches for dinner tonight. :)

Well I'm just sitting here cooling off right now. DH had to stop by the gun shop this morning. From there we stopped a little hamburger place and shared a burger, tater tots and drink. They have handmade burgers, ssoooooo good. From there we went to the Mall. I had to take a couple of things back and of course, I had to by something else. I mean--how can you go to the mall, fight for a parking spot, walk forever and not come out with something.lol Don't know what we are having for supper, something easy. Have to get moving, lots of things to do.

I have been going non stop all day long.  Ballet class went well today and I was even able to pick up a few things for my special SS!
