A big HI to all my Sisters!
I am home today with a migraine. Seems like there are a lot of us out there with them lately. Mine has dulled since this morning so I think I am going to make it. I am finally going to catch up on the posts!
Redawna, I finally had a chance to look at your pics from your trip. They are fabulous. I especially LOVE the waterfalls. I took a trip with my best friend many years ago. We were in Portland OR & went up into the mountain there & saw some fabulous waterfalls.
Kay, I'm sorry to hear you are not feeling well & have a migraine...I hope yours is feeling better by now. I can relate to how miserable they can be. Thanks for keeping up on the Travelin Books...I am excigted to get The Choice.
Amy, Sounds like you have a very busy day ahead of you. You had mentioned that your hubby wants a flat top stove but you had heard they were hard to clean. I have had 2 of them, unfortunately I don't have one now, however they are fabulous. They are probably the easiest stove top I have ever had to keep clean. I would not hesitate to get another one.
Mary, Your story about taking the Tylenol PM instead of regular Tylenol was pretty funny...I did that at work one day...it was tough staying awake til the end of the day..LOL. Im sure you were able to get some much needed rest. Enjoy your visit from you family. That sound like fun!
Terri, I hope they get your airconditioning fixed soon! We live in a duplex & the landlord told us when we moved in we would have 3 window airconditioners..one for the living room & one in each of the bedrooms...we finally got them installed last week. We have had some pretty hot/humid days here so I was certiinly thankful when they finally got installed. Chipotle Roast?? How do you make that? Recipe please if you would! Sounds fabulous!
Betty, I don't drink tea but am a coffee addict...I had to laugh when I saw your post that you always have 2 cups around...sounds like me...I would like to put a "clapper" on my cup so I could find it when I put it down sometimes!
Evie, have fun at your Story Hour Party...I was so sorry to hear about your friends, I will add them to my prayers.
Connie, we have no Snider's in our family. I am not into the Geneology, my brother has done an extensive family tree for both sides of our family though & I find it pretty interesting.
Rene, enjoy your night out with the ladies at the cabin. I used to belong to a Book Club & we would go to one of the women's cabin every summer. We had a lot of fun. I know you will too!
Maryann, I am so sorry that the smoke & fires are still so bad in your area. I hope the wind shifts & blows some of the smoke away very soon.
China, Im glad to hear your headache is goine & you are feeling better. Also happy to hear your ordeal with the washer is finally over after 3 weeks! That is awful. You mentioned Pineapple Delight...what is that and how do you make it? It sounds like something I would love to try.
Jeanie, I hope all goes well with your MIL's scan. I enjoyed your story about your mom & lawn bowling. My mom passed away a few years ago & I have so many fond memories of our time together. I really miss her...sometimes a girl just needs her mom!
Kathy, have a wonderful time at your family reunion.
Willie, I love garage sales. I have to agree that it is getting harder to find "good" stuff. I have found that when I see a sign that says something like, "HUGE SALE", they usually have nothing but "junk" and are usually pretty small. I have never had any luck in having a garage sale but sure do love to go to them every chance I get...One mans garbage is another mans treasure.
RichlinKy, sounds like your trip to Phoenix & the Grand Canyon was alot of fun. You are right about the heat though. I used to live in Phoenix & it is just flat hot...everyone told me it's a dry heat...that is true but 110 degrees is still 110 hot degrees. I lived in Kingman AZ for about 8 years when I was younger...it is about 100 miles from Las Vegas. It was a bit cooler there than Phoenix. The Grand Canyon is very beautiful..did you actually go down into the canyon? I have never done that.
I have no plans for today since I was not intending to be home until I woke up. I will probably do up the dishes that are in the sink & maybe throw in a load or two of laundry. I still want to make some more jewelry for the Autisim Benefit in 2 weeks so maybe I will work on that while I have the TV on today.
Hope all my Sisters have a wonderful, productive day. A special HI to my 2 new Sisters!
Hugs & prayers,
Maggie
