Morning everyone. Raining here in Alberta again..at least where we are.

Been busy around here....mostly enjoying dgd. She is so precious! Think we are maybe going to Costco. I am trying to make supper plans each day. The kids took us out last night.

Other than that, youngest ds is off today, so we will spend time with him.

Hope you all enjoy your day.

Good mroning ladies.  Slept and slept and slept, poor Cookie's been up forever waiting for us!  But the Hilton beds are so comfy and warm, and it was cold and rainy outside, so I really didn't want to get out of bed, and I didn't want to get up and leave the kids in their by themselves, incase they forgot where they were.  Zack was sad last night, think he misses his daddy, but is fine now, just very over tired.

    Happy birthday!

Okay, I gotta go, Claire is harrasing me BAD!!!  I guess she wants a fresh coffee?  I'll feed her coffee interveniously till she is giggly!  And relaxed!!

    Coffee Good Morning ALL!!!

Ada, off on a bus tour! Where to and what do you see on these trips?

It's another glorious day here today, sunny, and clear sky with a light breeze, but I hear it'll be miserable hot and humid by the weekend. Oh well, that's days away!

Thanks for the greetings, and Crea, you have good timing. The lovely and welcome card arrived yesterday, as I was out teaching, so I retrieved it from the mailbox when I got home around 10. Thank you SO much....a lovely sentiment! I've got no real plans for today, as it's a day off.

I checked in here last night, with my limited access, and found that char and those in tow had arrived safely. They'll all have a good time together, I'm sure.

Cathy, I'm glad to hear that the cast is off. It must be a real relief to not be dragging it around, heavy and well...all the rest! Enjoy!

Mmmmm, fresh peas...and potatoes....and...my mouth's watering already. I must get to the farmers market soon.

Take care all, and have a wonderful day!

    Good Afternoon, Friends!

Been busy working on my timesheets this morning. It's a good thing I have a copy feature on my printer, as I hate a messy timesheet, and I kept making a mistake and starting over with a fresh copy. Argh!!

We are waiting for Star Choice techie to come out to check things out and make adjustments. DH is so frustrated sometimes with his reception.

And we have ALSO ordered xplornet, so very soon it's bye-bye dial-up. What a pain that is getting to be.

It's a beautiful day here...20.2*C and partly sunny. I think our Eastern ladies would love it over the humidity and heat. We are expecting showers later.

Hope everyone is having a great day. Hugs for anyone needing them today. toodly-dooo

Well, another day pretty much a bust.  I did get the kitchen floor swept, a load of laundry washed, hung out and well past ready to come in and be folded.  Blueberries cleaned and ready for the freezer and peas are blanched and in the freezer.  Other than that, nothing else has been done.  I talked with an aunt for about an hour too.  One of my brother's showed up this morning with a bush cutter and attacked my ditch, that has all grown up in brush and grass. He got about half it done when the blade got too dull.  He said he would come back in the morning to finish it.

Tonight dh and I are heading into the funeral home for the visitation.  Tomorrow morning is Colin's (my friend's brother) funeral.  My problem is that I can't wear any of my dress shoes.  Guess people will have to excuse my foot attire. I tried a couple of pairs on today and I can get them on, but I don't think I could wear them for very long.  Everything cuts across where the incisions are and my toe is still swollen. No time to go look for another pair either.

Well, off to go get supper on the go and bring in the laundry.

Back home from work,  this is a hot job when the humidity rises. I did two homes but only 2 hours each.

I also filled the car with gas before it goes up again,  here it is 103.5L

Char and Cookie must be having a great time together,  the kids will be so excited to see the many kinds of animals.

Char, I bet Dan must be missing you all ready and the kids.  Cookie, how are you doing? Is Lance home or is he gone?

Cathy, don't over do it with your foot, take it easy for the first few days.

Yooper, have a great trip to KY, you and DH will have to learn the KY accent "you hear"

    Hallo Everyone

I'm still trying to get back into the swing of things after the wedding. What a beautiful place the old mill is in Etobicoke (Toronto). The meal was wonderful but as usual the DJ was way too loud.

Then on sunday we  went to Hamilton to continue celebrating with just family. It was a beautiful day & we had the meal outside. There were three accordians there & a lot of singing. I saw a girl there with whom I was a friend in Timmins in 1962 She now lives in Winnipeg. Her husband is a Major in the Canadian Military & is leaving for Afganistan in September.

Wishing Ada a belated B-day & Viola a very Happy Birthday.

Waving to everyone else. Hopefully I'll be back to normal by tomorrow. This partying is way too much for this old girl.

Yes, you rest up Anica. Big Smile I hear ya on loud entertainment! There'll be an epidemic of hearing loss coming for years to come...preventable hearing loss, at that.

Thought so, YF...I was thinking already, huh??? and we're sittin' on the stuff and ON can sell it so much cheaper??? Had to be a typo...,as it was.

Well, the techie came for our Star Choice. He made some adjustments in positioning and also suggested we might want to update our ancient receiver. Now for our high speed internet...coming later this week. Yippeeeee! No more tying up of phone lines.

Will run out now to weed the garden...flower beds. It's a lovely day...23.8*C., with a light breeze.

Afternoon all. Everyone is so busy all the time.

Back from a short walk to the Credit Union. We had transferred an RRSP from the credit union in Winnipeg to our credit union here in Kelowna and the Winnipeg one dinged us a transfer fee of $50.00. So we wanted to know if our credit union here would pick up the fee. They will and were really surprised that the fee was so high. They said they charge $25.00.

Haven't done too much today. Just a little dusting. Sure gets dusty fast with all the windows open.

Will pop in later to see what else has happened around here. Leftovers for supper (thank goodness!)

Anica, I agree, the Old Mill is an amazing and beautiful venue for weddings, and just about any reception. I've played a couple of wedding receptions there, in quartets and it was fabulous!  Who would ever know that such a place exists in the city? I'm so lucky to live in a similar location, with more trees out there, than anything else. There are a lot of those valleys and green belt areas in the city! Let the cement and the loud parties be to themselves! The Old Mill has regular Big Band dances, and one of these days, I'm going to get to one!
