I wonder whats up with our weather thingy. When I clicked on it -now its telling me I'm forbidden and looks like we all lost it.

Cathy - is today the funeral for Colin your friend? My thoughts will be with you-it will be a sad day for all I'm sure.

The temp this morning is quite nice and but not for long and out came my A/C last nite. I even took it out by  myself. Must get out for a walk because the rest of the day will be too hot. The laundry room is like a sauna now.

Ann - is the tube out and are you able to sleep better now? Did you hear anything about your tests or do you have to wait till the doctor gets back from vacation? Hope you are taking it easy sweetie.

Hauke - enjoy your lunch today - OMG Cookie's tower is out and no puter. Now is that not a fine time for this to happen. Wonder who jinxed this? Anyways you will have to update us when you get back.

My apt looks so very bad right now - green garbage bags on lamp shades-old sheets on furniture and the like. They better bust their butts because I cannot live very long like that. My neighbour gave me a key to new balcony done and I can go over there for peace and quiet if kitty is doing okay. But there is be lots of work to do in the bldg,. on the side they are finishing.

Yellowflower you better take lots of water with you if you are working today. I find even with A/C's I still sweat buckets.

It looks really hot and steamy for Sat. so I will be one cranky Aunt at this wedding - its an old church where they are being married and doubt it has air condition. I know the reception hall does but I won't be there that long.

Katie - keep you chin up sweetie and planning this wedding shd keep you hopping.

    Everyone keep cool

YF- they were saying on CBC last night that houses are not selling anywhere in Canada right now. The US economy is so bad and their housing market is is such mess I think its affecting here. Unless people want to really lower their prices - probably not much will sell. Just hang in there someday the right person will come along.

     Morning again

It looks like we could catch just the edge of some nasty storms this morning.

I'm not really awake yet this morning--spent half an hour looking for my glasses and of course I'm blind without them.  It wasn't a good feeling not to find them quickly.

I see there's a reason for the silent treatment from the younguns.  Sorry Claire I resisted caliing to interrupt the carrying on.  I took the silence to mean you two were yakking up a storm as long lost sisters.  See what all that hot air did?

Safe travels to all venturing on the roads today.

Better get on with this day and its to do list.   Later.  Pat

Hi Pat! I know what you meant about "losing" your glasses. I have a black frame and so I have to set them down on a light surface in order to find them! On a couple of occasions, I've had to get Cameron to locate them for me! Nothing like being too dependant on them! LOL!

It is pretty dark in the skies here this am. Looks like we had a sprinkle over night! Wonder how the boys are making out!

     Morning Meesh

Are you enjoying your alone time?  Did you have any special projects  happening while you're soloing?

After the bees went out yesterday, we were seeing a brief window to take off for a couple of days.  Got home, the phone rang , a rookie inspector came for a get acquainted visit.  We're up to our eyeballs with a job and a deadline of next Wed.   Bye-bye break.

Its filling in big time so I'm guessing we're in for or of a storm than the radar was showing.  I'm shutting down.     Later

I am enjoying my alone time. I've been working on some knitting projects. I had some little soap/gift bags to make for Dolores' DD and I have them done. Working on things for the Blueberry Festival in August. I'm also sleeping better as I don't have someone tossing and turning beside me! LOL! I'm meeting a friend for supper tonight. That will be nice. TTYL!

    Re: Canadian Corner 16/07/08

Hi all. I got time last night to read a couple days of goings on for all our friends. A belated happy birthday to our friends who have had birthdays since I left for holidays.

Ok as for our holidays!!! The week before we left they put a fire ban on up at Meadow Lake Park. Well on the Fri (4th) it started raining and that day they got 3 inches. By the time we got there on the 7th they had a total of almost 6 inches. So the fire ban was lifted but the next problem was to find dry wood to have camp fires. We had a storm, lightening, thunder and rain at some point every day that we were there. It rained 2 whole days, kids got soaked many times and Mom was forever doing laundry. They only had one good day of sunshine that they spent many hours swimming etc. We did rent them a paddle boat twice and Jonah had a kayak that we rented for him that he really enjoyed. We never did rent a boat to go fishing as the wind was always just nasty. There was a brand new speed boat with four people on it that capsized in the middle of the lake and went down . Total inexperience and they got caught in the storm. They dialed 911 from the lake so RCMP were there, asked for the fastest boat in the campground so go onto the lake. Ended up 4 boats going out, they rescued 3 and were searching frantically for the 4th person. She had paniced and started swimming, and was picked up by 4 young people in a boat who were out fishing. She was in the water for a hour and 45 minutes and was almost done in when they pulled her out. TOO much excitment for one night.

The kids came home on Sun but we stayed till Mon. Got the brainwave to stop in Saskatoon and pick saskatoons on the way home. Well we got 1 pail picked and then it started raining and just poured. Everything was under water when we left the berry farm and then we got caught in the worst thunder, lightening, rain storm I have ever been in on the way home.

Things were good at home, they had almost 3 inches of rain while we were away so things are nice and green . The garden needs weeding, we had a couple tenths last night so hopefully by this aft I can get at that.

So that is my adventure on my holidays. I am glad to be home, have lots of things to deal with now as my Mom is going into a senior home soon.

Better get a moving as still have some things to put away and sleeping bags etc to wash.Keisha just phoned , she is spending the day with me today. Dom has been looking after her the last 2 days.    BBL   Dolores
