CRIPES.....some people.....

 my husband is trying to get ahold of his parents as his dad is having some medical problems...so hubby was using my cell phone and dialed the wrong area code.....realized it and hung up...so he used the house phone to call his brother....

in the mean time my cell starts ringing and the person....will NOT call her a lady started in rudely asking HOW DID YOU GET THIS NUMBER......WHO ARE YOU TRYING TO CALL...I informed her my husband dialed the wrong area code....no that wasn't good enough for her....so I got just as snotty as she....she kept asking HOW DID YOU GET THIS NUMBER....well duh person he dialed his parents number and her area code....

okay I feel better....but really people isn't it just better to be nicer and not rude and when you get the explaination let it go....... 

Sadly, Shelley, many folks wake up in the morning & are simply annoyed that they did so.

I try and look upon such people as examples of how NOT to live my life.

I hope all will soon be well with your Dear Father-in-Law.

 Shelley... I have had some IDIOT... dialing my cell for the last 3 days 10+ times a day it is an overseas call the person DOES NOT speak English...I have tried to block the number.. that won't work..Finally DS got on and all he said was FBI... and the calls have stopped so far*LOL*!!!!

Hmmmm I have days like that myself! LOL

I really like caller ID, but for cripes sake - those people who call back simply because your number showed up annoy the heck out of me!  If I'd REALLY wanted something - I'd have left a message!

bobs - that's a brilliant idea!  Shelley - post the number he misdialed and we'll all call her!!  Really give the old bat summat to complain about!

my fatherinlaw seems to be having "fainting" spells or mini strokes....they have gone to the ER...and now he is home and really no better...hubby got him on the phone and had him repeat words with lots of S's in them (the sun shines in san diego)....that is a fire dept test for stroke and fatherinlaw didn't do well, asked him a bunch of other questions...so he talked to his mom and told her what to watch out for...then called his bro, who lives about 20 miles from them and gave him the run down too...his folks have a DNR...and don't want any heroics (SP)....and they live in a small town in WY. so hubby had mom get out the DNR's and put them on the refridg.....

but thanks for the chuckles......they person hung up after I asked her why she was arguing with someone she didn't even know.....must have finally sunk in....who knows.....I don't call people back like that.....if they really wanted to speak to me they can leave a voice mail....I finally got that down pat....well most of the time.... 

Man, I would have called her up and told her to take the stick out.

I got LIT INTO one time by what sounds like the same old bat.  I was trying to call my son & misdialed.  "WHO IS THIS AND WHY DO YOU KEEP CALLING ME?!!!"  She claimed I had called her at least twice before that day.  I did NOT (I would have remembered that bat!).  She then told me I'd better stop calling her.  MY PLEASURE.  BOY was she hot! 

I hung up but secretly hoped that she'd drop her cell phone down the Wal-Mart potty by mistake reeeeeal soon...

Sorry about your FIL.  It sure is scary when your folks start having problems & you're not there with them.  Hope everything's going to be OK.

I'm sorry this happened to you! I wonder if that woman has ever dialed a wrong number by mistake?
