PeytonsMimi_NC---- Some years ago we used to sell the Aqua Star tankless hot water heater. My husband loves it, I don't only because ours is in the basement so therfore it has a longer distant to get upstairs. My husband uses the shower downstairs near the heater and has no probem. My shower is upstairs and after I get soaped up, shampoo in my hair, soap getting in my eyes my shower turns ice cold and I have to run downstairs with the bubbles to relight it. The reason for that is the pipes he put in going upstairs are too small. He also repaired them but as yet he has not put in bigger pipes on ours. We have had ours for about 30 years. The bottem line is---- Install the heater close to your sink or shower and use large enough pipes to force the water upstairs if that is your plan.I think you will like it if it is done right. If it is done right you will have instant hot water and no tank sitting there heating water.
