Do you have a "little black dress"

I do.  But I almost couldn't tell you the last time I wore it, but I will.

Hi Morningdove. I have two black dresses. One for summer, one for winter. Neither is a cocktail dress, but more like what you would wear to a funeral.

What is yours like? 

Not cocktail type either, but it's versatile that way.  I have worn it under a red duster which makes it look like velvet, but it's not.   

I use to keep a "little black dress" at all times when I had more functions to attend. But now I don't have one and just wear my church clothes to funerals etc... If we have a wedding in the family, I'd have to get a new dress.

Nope, but I want one. I used to be too fat for one and now that Im a lot smaller I think I would look good in one. I do have quite a bit of black lingerie tho

yes, one more formal than the others, I love Black......you can dress it up or down and it is flattering if you are blonde!

Yep, several in fact.  Wear them often.

 I have several black skirts.  I've always been more of a skirt girl.

I have a little black & blue dress! 

Actually, it's the same sheath dress in black and also in navy blue.  I picked them both up in the same shopping trip. 

I can wear the dress alone or with a jacket/sheer overblouse.  Doubt it'll ever go out of style....it's the type of dress Audrey Hepburn wore in "Breakfast At Tiffany's."  I have the pearls, but not the long cigarette holder she had.  

I also have quite a collection of basic black or black/white tweed "funeral" suits and skirts and pantsuits, and some "tuxedo" type black suits & pantsuits for nights out.  Since it's hard to find something I like that feels great and fits perfectly, I tend to buy classic styles that age gracefully...so I don't have to shop very often.  There's a method to my madness.  Also, DH tends to spring company events on me with short notice, so I have to have something ready to grab from the closet, all seasons.

Which reminds me.....Tues. night is another dinner, so I'd better hit the closet today!!
