Dog [&] Critter Chat July 19,2008

Cardinal Tetra   True Rummynose Tetra  Panda Cory Cat  Harlequin Rasbora

Marble Hatchet  Red Minor Serpae Tetra  Neon Tetra Jumbo  Albino Aeneus Cory Cat

By clicking on the pictures you will see a larger view. This is the site I will order from as well. It is a Doctor's Foster & Smith site and I have ordered bird items from them in the past.

    -------------------------------------

It's after nine on a fairly quiet Saturday morning. (my "yip yip" still "yap yapping") Small desk fan whirling, traffic is light. Birds have flown off on their morning hunt for breakfast. Goats, for the moment, are not bleating with starvation. A few more 5 gallon water changes, slowly, over the next week and my aquarium will be ready for the introduction of a few fish. This time it will be a peaceful community tank. Cardinals, Neon's, Rasboras, Hatchets,   Albino Cory Cats or if I can get them, Panda Cory's, Rummynose Tetras, & Serpae Tetras. No, I will not introduce them all at once--it will be over a period of time as I probably will have to get a few of the types I want by mail order. Such as the Cardinals, Pandas and Hatchets. (I have a 55 gallon tank so that I can have small schools of the fish I want)

A beautiful summer day awaits me and, hopefully, each of you.

     Good Morning Critter Chat Friends

its another warm day here. yesturday I took my granddaughter Paige to the steam show. she is only 2 yrs. old. we had a lot of fun, there was some mini ponys with new babies to pet, and also goats. but I think what she liked best was sitting in the grass with me eating ice cream :) she had Orange blossum, and I had Pumpkin.

re-savage I use to have fish tanks. they are so much fun. I had a 55 gla. a 40 gal. 2, 20 gals. and 2 10 gal. all set up at the same time. eventually I got rid of them 1 at a time. it is so peaceful just watch the fish...I wish Istill had my big tank.

well have a good day all.

My gosh. s everyone out in the hot sun. ...luvadash, how nice that you had time alone to b ond with Paige.

How long since you cleaned out your key board?  After all those breakfastest of toast my key board was full of crumbs. I turned it upside down and shook it. What a mess. So I got it as clean as I could then used saran wrap to cover it. Not as comfortable to type with but it works since I am a one finger typer anyway.

Well I hope you all have a good day and I will check back later

Good afternoon!  It's been raining steadily all day here.  Dark and gloomy, too.  My tomatoes and beans are loving it.

Pretty fish you're going to get, Red!  Aquariums are so mesmerizing and peaceful, I would like to have one. I have absolutely nowhere to put one, though.  I always liked angelfish...I think they're tropical.  The colors in all of the aquarium fish seem to shimmer!

Hi Kozy...good tip about cleaning the keyboard (my mouse could use a good wipedown, too, since our fingers, well mine anyway, can leave smudges after snacking while on the computer!)  I think after I shut down I will attack this keyboard!

Hi Luvadash...sounds like you and Paige had a nice afternoon.  I've never had pumpkin ice cream!  I usually always go for something with chocolate in it.  There is a steam show here every year.  They have demonstrations of old time steam engines and steam powered machinery.  Pretty awesome to see!

I think I may just crack open a new book to read.  It's nice and quiet around here today...perfect for reading.  I've got about 50 paperbacks I've collected this past year from garage sales that haven't been read yet.  Let's see, who shall it be, Dean Koontz, Mary Higgins Clark, Belva Plain, James Patterson, Sidney Sheldon, Debbie Macomber, Helen Van Slyke...?  Who am I in the mood for?

Hope everyone else is enjoying their weekend...AF have a safe and fun trip to the cabin!

Hi BD.. If you type with both hands you want to be sure and make the saran wrap loose if you use it.  I use one finger so I can press harder then you might. I need to clean my mouse now to.

I am going to look for James Patterson at the library.  He writes series so you need to be careful you start at the beginning.  luvadash sent me a web site so I could look him up and see what he wrote first...I have also read Dean Koonze "Odd" series. Except "Odd Hours" which I will get later.

I am going to my Xs house tonight to try out the step excerise thingy he has to see if I can use it. My bike is just to uncomfortable. I am looking for a used tread mill. New is just to expensive..

I've already read quite a few James Patterson books.  I think most of them can pe picked up anytime and still enjoyed even if it is a series.  I like to read books in order, too, if they're writen that way.  Patterson has also co-authored a few with different authors.  I haven't read one yet, that I didn't like!  I've also read a lot of Dean Koontz and there was only one I 'struggled with'. I haven't read any of the "Odd" series yet.  My problem is that once I read a book, I just sort of forget about it.  I keep a list of my favorite authors with me, with the ones I've read checked off so I don't duplicate when I'm buying books.  I always forget which ones I've aready read!

You are so right...treadmills are expensive!  And I agree that stationary bikes are uncomfortable!  I'd like to have a treadmill myself, especially in the winter but would I actually use it?...LOL.  I hear they make a great place to hang clothes!

Yes BD I have heard that to about tread mills...But since my heart attack maybe I would be inspired  lol...I really hate excersise. .I have heard once you disapline yourself to it it gets easier..hummmm I wonder...

I seldom buy books. Most I get from the library. I do buy Civil War books for my collection but most of them with gift certificates.  I like to pick them up at yard sales but since I no longer drive I do not get to many
