    Printer Paper

I was cruising around on the Hints and Tips BB and found these two posts.  I thought they were a great idea and decided to copy them to here.

Instead of using expensive printer paper, I use the cheap 3 ring notebook kind for those copies I am going to throw away shortly. Before school starts is a good time to stock up on it. Posted on Hints and Tips BB by emernkit

I'll go you one better on that, though I will admit that is a good one as well. Use the backs of all thos political letters and junk mail. Some, not all by any means, leave the backs completely blank and many more leave at least a half page blank on the back. It takes a bit of thought, depending one your printer, but they seem to go through just fine. Posted on Hints and Tips BB by Trophywife

Allot of times I will sit at the computer and type up my grocery list or the kids' chore lists.  The 3 ring notebook paper would be my choice as 99% of the mail I get does not have blank areas.  50cents a package sure beats over $3 for paper for such unimportant items.  Another good source of blank backs would be papers the kids bring home from school.

Anybody else have thoughts on this??

If the kids are still alive at the end of the day, then I've done my job.

The notebook paper is a fabulous idea!! I never thought to use that instead of printer paper! Most of the stuff I print doesn't need to be on regular printer paper, I'm going to start using the notebook paper. I stopped buying those little purse or pocket size notebooks to use for grocery lists, reminders etc. Instead, I started using the blank side of my little desk size (5inches x 5inches) page a day tear off calendar pages. I figure there's no sense in throwing these out if I can use them for my lists, memos etc. They have 365 pages so it lasts me a long time! Thanks to momsays for the tip about the printer paper!
