Attn: Tech and/or other computer professionals

 Which manufacturer makes the best laptops?  I am hoping to buy one next Christmastime and want to get the laptop that will give me the least amount of problems.

To all that are interested...

Tech suggested I get a Dell when I bought this desktop about 4 years ago. She also told me to buy the most memory that I could afford. Excellent advice. I've had no problems.

 Thanks for the tip BK but I've always used a PC and I don't want to switch to Mac. This old dog doesn't want to learn an entirely new system.

Lol at the above, because my DD is going to college in the fall, and though I've always had PCs, we bought her a Mac!  My son had one though college, and not one problem.  They don't get viruses, and they are as easy to use as PCs.  They also have the same software, and they are very lightweight.  I also have a Dell laptop that weighs twice what the Mac does, and it is always having problems. Fortunately I can fix them myself, but not everyone can.  Thus the Mac for my daughter so she won't be calling home every five minutes!! lol

I'm not a computer professional but I have a Compaq Presario and it has given me no problems.  I think Macs are more expensive than PCs.

I just got a new laptop. I got a HP. I love it and it also has windows vista. When i seen that I thought ohhh no learn a new program,,but its pretty much the same LOL

BUT I have heard nothing but GOOD about Mac,but I couldnt afford it at this time. I told my brother next puter I get I will get one.
