    Thanks for sharing cleaning formula.

I have laminate floors in my kitchen and I use a swiffer and of course the spray on swiffer cleaner.  BUT  I have found another homemade cleaner similar to yours and it works.  I always felt like there was a film on my floor with the swiffer spray cleaner.  I've shared this with others and they love it.  I have not tried it on anything other than vinly and laminate floors.

    1/3 c. vinegar

    1/3 c. alcohol

    1/3 c. water

2 drops dishwishing soap  ( I happen to use Dawn)

Since I like this so well, I have a larger spray bottle and make 3 cups at once=  1c.water, 1c. alcohol and 1 c. vinegar.......4-6 drops of dishwashing soap.

This is a GREAT window cleaner.  It works best when used with newspaper.  My SIL gave me this recipe 20 years ago.  It is super.

Just tried this as last month had new ARMSTRONG laminate floors installed in three rooms (dark, piano gloss finish) and EVERYTHING shows on them !  The first week the dog wouldn't step on the kitchen floor as she saw her reflection and thought she was stepping into a lake or other body of water !  Anyway, Armstrong said NOT TO EVER USE A SOAP PRODUCT on the floors as it WOULD leave a film.....only use water.  Well, has Armstrong ever tried getting even barefoot prints off their floors with a spritz of WATER???  When I say everything shows, I'm serious.  Can't rest one hand on the floor for balance while wiping a spot with the other hand....it make ANOTHER SPOT to polish !  Bottom line, I mixed your solution and am thoroughly delighted !  Just a gentle spray and a paper towel and it is gone....thanks so much !  All in all, the floors are glorious, but I'm a neat freak.

    Window Screen Cleaner...Fantastic

From "Spruce It Up With the Queen of Clean Outside the Castle"
    episode SCO-102

For an easy way to clean your window screens,

We just used this recipe to clean our window screens using the sponge...Worked great!!

Cannot even tell we have screens in the windows...We just used a sponge, no brush.......We took them outside and used this solution and a sponge...Rinsed off with a hose...

    Highly recommend this...

Also , I found the Borax in the laundry detergent aisle at Target..

    .....................................

If you find cleaning window screens a difficult chore, try this fail-safe recipe from the host of Spruce It Up With the Queen of Clean: Outside the Castle, Linda Cobb.

    Ingredients:

2 Tbl. liquid dishwashing soap (like Joy or Dawn)
    1/4 cup ammonia
    2 Tbl. borax

Place these ingredients in a bucket with warm water.

Soak the screen up with a wet sponge and then dip the sponge in the solution and really suds up the screens.

Place a rag on the ground and tap the window screen on the rag (figure A) to get the soapy dirty water off.

Rinse the screens ( we used an outside hose ) and then place back on the windows once they are dry.
