Good Morning June Friends!!
Like the rest of you, I have a busy day ahead. Need to clean floors AGAIN. So sick of people not cleaning up their spills. I also need to straighten up the computer desk AGAIN. Can't believe how fast it gets nasty. I am going to make a casserole of sorts with leftover chicken, leftover green beans in mushroom soup, and rice. If needed, I'll add the leftover porkchop from last night. I'll also make a salad to go with it before the lettuce goes bad.
Margie, Glad SIL is breathing better. Will continue praying for her. Your dinner sounds good as always.
Sherry, what time should DH be at your house for dinner?? He LOVES the sausage with saurkraut meals. Hope your knee holds up till you can get to the ortho. I had a really hard time getting the 6oz can of limeade. Commissary was the only place I could get it. Fry's used to carry it, but since I haven't shopped at a Fry's in 6 years who knows. If push comes to shove, COMPLETELY thaw the 12oz can, shake it up really well and then measure 6 oz in a measuring cup or put it all in a measuring cup and pour off exactly 1/2. Trust me the pie is so good you'll want to make it a second time. I sure do and there is only 1 and 1/2 pieces out of it. Both of which I ate. By 9:30 it was perfectly set. Mind you, it is a looser cream pie than some.
Lisa, thanks for the watering reminder. Today is my day again. $3 is high, but before leaving it, I would have weighed it. I prefer to buy things priced by the pound. I paid $3 for cantelope once. I kid you not it was just under 6 pounds. I have not seen one that huge since.
Jill, Red Lobster sounds great. You and Ed are going to be too busy today considering it's your anniversary. Enjoy your dinner out.
Cheri, hope your 8 hour day stays an 8 hour day. How nice to have someone, even if it is someone who makes you crazy, cook for you. Enjoy that.
Patti, I was lurking on the KC BB and one family IS being asked to provide TP to the school. Do you guys provide copy paper like us? I don't mind the clorox wipes as long as they are ACTUALLY used in MY child's classroom to wipe down the door handles, desk tops, and any areas that are accessed by all. I don't feel they should be used more than once a week (Fridays before the kids leave) because without any germ exposure, our kids are getting sick more often and the bodies are having a hard time winnning the battles (at least that is what the news reported a few months back). Stuffed peppers sound good. I hated them as a kid, but now they sound good.
Deb, hope your electricity gets restored soon. Enjoy your unplanned visit with you mom.
Dowie, glad you found some clothes on sale. I can never find anything I like. With my weight as high as it is though, I am not even looking anymore.
Belle, have fun at the casino and come home with more than you left with.
Kathleen, I am the mean parent of the neighborhood according to my kids. Mine don't get to go out and play much before 1:00 do to chores and math worksheets and reading. Both of my kids struggled in math this past school year. I am using the summer months to help get them up to where they are supposed to be. I also don't let mine out after 8. They have a schedule for the summer, and I am doing my best to keep them to it. $180 for a bus fee?? That is ridiculous. Whatever happened to Kids First??
Well I better go. To anyone I missed and those yet to come HAVE A WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY!!!
Kim
If the kids are still alive at the end of the day, then I've done my job.
