Lock up your daughters! Clear the roads!

    Yob has his driver's license!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DS passed his driver's test on the first try. He is now an officially licensed driver and doesn't have to have me tag along with him.

Does seem like only yesterday he was 11. He turned 17 a few weeks ago.
I almost cried at the testing center, thinking it wasn't that long ago he loved to scoot around in his Flintstone type car, now he drives the real thing! Surprise

I have faith in him...  Know why?  Because from what I have read, TH is an excellent mom. So I know that she has done very well in instructing him.

Oh poor tree! LOL, I'm glad I don't live in the Atlanta area! Hide Jane! Stay off the roads!

No seriously, congrats to yob! I can't wait for the first lone driving adventure lol!

    Yes, I know I am a btch.
I have been a btch all my life. I am good at it.
It takes very little effort on my part, and I am used to it. Applying the same reasoning to you, I cannot understand your offense at being called stupid.

Congratulations to DS!  Now you get to stay up until you hear the car in the driveway!  (I finally quit doing that - my DS is 20!)

Re: Lock up your daughters! Clear the roads!

I kept drilling in his head "wear your seatbelt, no matter what, WEAR YOUR SEATBELT". I know he makes his friends put on their seatbelts when they get in the car. Accidents will happen but having on that seatbelt keeps you from getting thrown from the vehicle.

He's had his learner's for almost 2 years and has driven a lot, so I know he has the skills -- it's those other crazy people that worry me!!!!!

I nominate this thread as the SCARIEST today!

And yes, seatbelts usually mean the difference in a wreck between slightly sore and dead.

"Lock up your daughters! Clear the roads! "  LMBO!!!
You have my deepest sympathy! Stick out tongue

If it's any consolation to you, I worried a LOT more when my daughter started driving than when my son started driving.  My son did great. My daughter drives like she's in a demolition derby. LOL  (not really- I just like to rag her)

Like you, I also worried about the other crazy drivers on the road.

Good luck and enjoy those new insurance rates.  Wink

I read this article that said the typical symptoms of stress
are eating too much, impulse buying, and driving too fast.

Are they kidding? That's my idea of a perfect day!!!
