Another canning question - this time about dilly beans

    Another canning question - this time about dilly beans

    I can't find the fresh dill heads that the recipe calls for (1 head per pint jar)  Can I substitute dill seed?  I was thinking about 1/4 tsp per pint jar?  Or what about dill weed?  I know I have made these before using one of these substitutions, but unfortunately didn't write any notes down on my recipe.

    Never mind!!  LOL  I asked also on the recipe board and got my question answered.

     

    1/2 tsp dill seed per pint jar
