    Rec: Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

I got this delicious recipe from my mom.  It's a keeper for sure. I doubled the recipe and it made 2 large loaves and 18 regular sized muffins.

    ~Kathleen

    CHOCOLATE CHIP BANANA BREAD

    2/3 c butter, softened

    1 1/2 c sugar

    1 1/2 c mashed bananas

    2 3/4 c flour

    1 tsp baking soda

    1 tsp baking powder

    1/2 tsp salt

    1/2 c sour cream

1 c chopped walnuts, optional (I did not use)

    3/4 c mini chocolate chips

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.  Add eggs and bananas. Beat until well blended.  Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt in a small bowl, then add to banana mixture.

Mix alternately with sour cream, stirring just to blend.  Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.

Pour into 2 loaf pans that have been greased.  Bake in preheated 350 oven for 1 hour and 15 mins or until a toothpick comes out clean.
