Whisper [:-*] The Conclusion of the Wolf Stove Saga~~~

Happy Weekend Eve Day, Folks! Smile

To Summarize my Wolf Stove Saga thus far...

I had a new Dual Fuel Wolf Stove delivered and installed February 6, 2008.  Fast forward to June 17th...I was wiping the interior of the oven door that afternoon with a damp sponge.  After doing so, the oven door would NOT close completely.

Fortunately, a Technician from 123 Appliances came out that evening to check out the Wolf.  Alas, Technician One was not able to get the door to close & stated parts would need to be ordered, specifically the left and right door hinges as they were not aligned.  Tongue Tied

On Friday, June 27th; Technician Two from 123 Appliances appeared with the new hinges and he installed said hinges.  No dice.  The Oven door still refused to close and yet more parts would be needed, this time the *entire* oven door would need to be replaced. Surprise

Saturday, July 19th, Technician Three from 123 Appliances arrived with a brand new Wolf Stove Door and Installed it.  Uh Huh.  Yeppers and Boy Howdy...a fine looking oven door.  Still did NOT close, however. Indifferent Soooooo, Technician Three was going to contact his Supervisor who, in turn, would contact WOLF directly to find out, well..just what the heck should be done next. Idea & Yes!

Which brings us to today...Supervisor Person from 123 Appliances came and looked at said Wolf Stove with the not functional oven door. No

In less than 10 minutes, Mr. Supervisor corrected the way the OVEN RACKS were situated and then proceeded to ***close*** the Oven Door on the Wolf Dual Fuel Stove.

    Cool, huh? Wink

Oh my!  Reminds me of the time I called the copier technician because I couldn't get the door shut.  He calmly returned the fuser unit back into its place and shut the door.  Embarrassed

Oh well, it was under warranty so the service call was free.

    LOL!!!

And it reminds me of the time when my dryer quit working, and being the WONDERFUL wife I am, I decided to safe my DH some $$$ on a repair bill and hung clothes on the line all summer long.  By the time winter arrived, I was cleaning off the top of the dryer, which had since become a "catch-all" for who-knows-what, I noticed the heat button had been turned to COOL-FLUFF!!!!!!!  I tried so hard to convince DH he owed me some of the $$$ I had saved him in electricity for 6 or 8 months, but all he did was LOL!!!!!

    hehe!!

We had a truck come in for a warranty repair because the interior dome light wouldn't go off.  The driver complained & complained.  When DH closed the passenger door, the light went off.

Krissy, Krissy, Krissy.  I've just GOT to ask.......  How did the oven racks get in the wrong position in the first place?  Do we need to haul in the damp sponge for questioning?????  Hmm

I had just gotten my Gran Prix.  First day I drove it to work, parked and tried to shift into Park.  No go.  Tried again, no go.  I was about to drive directly to the dealer when -  lo and behold! - I discovered that I had set my coffee cup on the console and it was blocking the shift lever from going completely into Park.  I did the same thing with the dryer on "Air Dry" and a big load of towels.  Why were those towels still wet after 1-1/2 hours????  Fortunately no service people were involved.

     Two come to mind.

When I got my new car in 2002 and I turned the key off the radio was still on.  Finally gave up and just turned the radio off.  I didn't know it would go off when I opened the door.

Many years ago my dryer quit drying.  My wonderful engineer DH took the whole thing apart to find out the reason.  We lived in an old house that had the round tubular fuses and since it was 220 there were two fuses.  The one that enabled the dryer to turn was okay the other was burned out.

My neighbor called me in a panic one day when her brand new GE stove's door wouldn't close.  I went next door, looked it over, decided that she had unknowingly moved the 'clean' knob when the door was open and the latch went into position and the door now would not close.  Set the knob back where it belonged and Wah-lah!  Door closed.  She didn't offer to pay me for the repair call because it was still under warranty. LOL.
