Does your olive oil sprayer get clogged up?

If the answer is yes, then you aren't cleaning the nozzle when you're done with the sprayer. I've had my Misto for years and it's never clogged up on me. When I'm done using it, I turn it upside down and hold the sprayer till it stops spraying. This gets all the unused oil out of the tube and nozzle. I got the idea from DH oddly enough. Anytime he uses a spray can, he turns it upside down and cleans out the nozzle. I figured if it worked for cans of spray paint it should would with olive oil, so I tried it and lo and behold it worked!

    Yes, I know I am a btch.
I have been a btch all my life. I am good at it.
It takes very little effort on my part, and I am used to it. Applying the same reasoning to you, I cannot understand your offense at being called stupid.

Do you mean, spraying, upside down, until that tube inside the canister is empty, and there's nothing left in the tube for it to spray?

Yup. Turn the mister upside down, hold down the nozzle and let it empty. It doesn't empty the canister, it just clears to tube and the nozzle.

I do that with spray paint cans too, never thought of doing it with my oil mister!

It is not doing the things we like to do, but liking the things we have to do that makes life blessed!

But doesn't some of the oil spray out?  This is why I'm thinking messy.

The only oil that comes out is the oil in the tube and the nozzle. That's the whole point. The nozzle gets clogged up because the oil turns gummy if left in the nozzle.

Depends on where you're aiming. I prefer spraying it into the sink or a waste basket as opposed to over my kitchen floor or counters.
