N. Topsail Beach, NC...anybody?

Our family is going there for the first time.  Any advice, tips, info would be appreciated if anybody wants to share.  Thanks!

      I have gone here my entire life.  I love it.  Hate going any where else.  People have mixed reactions to this beach.  Some like it becuase it is very quite and peaceful with not much to do and others don't like it for the same reasons.  Make sure you take things with you to do in the evenings, board games, horse shoes on the beach, volleyball, etc...  You will not find much night life.  There is a small aracde or you can go out for ice cream or browse the shops.  I hope this helps and I hope you enjoy your vacation.  We are going next week and I can not wait!!!!!

My boss says this was a favorite destination for family outings when he was a child. Have a wonderful time! 

Thanks Pamela and saw-whet.  Yes, Pamela, we've heard it is very quiet and we are happy with that!  We are bringing games, etc. for "no on the beach" times.  Glad to hear good reports.

We were there a few years ago.  Our favorite kind of vacation is a beach vacation.  Unfortunately, I wouldn't return to Topsail Island.  Although I like peace & quiet, there wasn't enough amenities for us.  There were few restaurants and not much shopping.

Part of it could be that we prefer the Gulf of Mexico.  Neighbors of ours go to Topsail every year and no where else, so I know it is just a matter of opinion.  Have a great time.

My impression of the Carolina coast is that it is beautiful!  You are not that far from Wilmington if you need some action, also Wrightsville beach.  Go, unwind, enjoy.

Where are you staying?? North end, South end?? There's Surf City too they have some cute shops. Sneed's Ferry is right there too!! If you come into Wilmington I'd be happy to show you around!!
