    Good morning june friends.....Coffee

I got Dh off to work earlier this AM then got a few things done and then laid back down for awhile. I just got up a few minutes ago and got laundry going...then I should be caught back up today after I get Dh's work clothes washed up later today.

Other than laundry I'm going to tidy up some -- I have a phone call to make as well, Also pull a few weeds in my flowerbeds and then later on when Dh mows I'm going to trim.

Today it's suppose to be another nice day -- Temp around 85* or so and sunny. Over the weekend there is a chance of scattered thunderstorms again, and the humidity returns....Ugh!!

Dh has to work until 1:30 today..instead of only 1/2 day.

Margie~ Love the siggy -- I'm sitting here with a cup of coffee...LOL... Thank you for the siggy. :)  It feels good to be back home -- Our power came back on late Wed. evening. Enjoy the nice weather.

Denise~ Hope you are starting to feel better this morning. Take it easy.

Sheila~ Enjoy your first night in your new home.

Dowie~ Have a wonderful time camping.

    Belle~ Congrats on the win.

Jill~ Glad things are coming along on the new house.

Good morning all.   A nice cool morning.  To hit upper 80's but low humidity.  Yesterday was only low 80's but a bit more humid than today but still was a nice day.  Made a berry/peach/plum pie for us and one for the girls (froze theirs) and it was great.  Got a call last eve and the girls ended up coming here, with Edy, and we played Settlers a game Ginger learned in Mongolia and finally got around to buying.  Kind of fun.  Had a nice evening.  Have to run into work for a staff meeting and some phone conference about changes to computer and when we transfer each day.  Oh fun.  NOT.   Got my pickles started again, so w'ell see in 2 weeks if they are good or not.  Ginger has off today (they can take 2 Fridays a month off in June/July/August and since this is Holly's off week they are doing fun things together.

Margie hope you can get to the park and enjoy your day today.

Sherry, why do you need to go back 13 years if you have the last 5 years?  Hope you can get things fixed up.

Shelia, happy moving and first night in your new home.

Patti, what all is pouring in from your garden?

Hope you all have a great day.  Will check back later.

Dinner last night was a garden meal with cuc salad, eggplant parmesan over spaghetti squash.  Plus the pie berries were all my own.  Tonight is leftovers.

I guess I need to clarify Jill. The years I have are the first 5 years, so I need to go back to 2000. I probably didn't say it well. Your pie sounds good.

Margie, glad you are having nice weather. What are you fixing for dinner. Thanks ont the siggies. I don't do that much, just erase the previous name, find a color and font that I like, type in your name and center it (LOL). I found some neat blank siggies the other day, but having trouble getting them to come up.

Deb, glad your power came back on. Never quite the same when you have to stay somewhere different, but glad that you had somewhere to go. We had to stay at my mom's a few times when things happened to our A/C.

Waving hi to Patti, Lisa, Kathleen, Sheila, Shirley, Cherie, Sheri, Kim, Denise, KarenG, Linda, Joanne, Lorilou, Julie, SherryH, Belle, Jolene, Werndy, Dowie,Dana, and anybody else I missed. Still don't have my handy list of names made (LOL).

Here is my new siggie that Lisa (Bearyfine) has for an adopt now over at Prints of Peace in Delphi Forums. It reminds me of Patti, except I think it is all flowers. Got my swim in last night. Was watching City of ANgels last night. It was so sad.

Still have to go by other house and make sure it hasn't been broken into again. Have to run by the store and get a new printer cartridge as mine is now out of both color and B & W so I can't print anything at all. Also need to get stuff for dinner today or tomorrow. Yesterday only had pasta. Never got to store. Nothing for lunch either so I guess I will run and go get something at Burger King. Spent way too much time on Quicken last night. Had a friend helping finally because I get frustrated with that type of thing. Especially on pay week and when I am trying to write bills. Oh well, I guess I'll survive. Gregg told me years ago I should be writing down all that stuff too. I have bank statements for all of it I'm sure, but it will be a real pain to try to iwrite it all down then nput 8 years worth of stuff. It is supposed to be able to download from the bank, but it doesn't seem to want to do that.

Anyway, have a nice day :-)

    friends and good morning! TGIF!!!

58º here this AM, supposed to get a little warmer, into the mid 80's. Today I hope to get my windows done, got into too many other little jobs yesterday & didn't get to them. Picked 4 more zucchini & 2 squash yesterday, so made stuffed zucchini and some zucchini & onion bread for supper last night; both were good, but the bread could use a little tweaking. Also made some blueberry bread with some berries I had that needed to be used. Still need to figure out what I'm taking to the reunion tomorrow. Tongue Tied

Margie, glad you enjoyed some time outside yesterday; hope you get to go to the park today!! Danielle is all finished with ballgames now. Smile Would love to chat with you sometime gf, just say when! Sending you love & hugs!!

Deb, so glad you were able to get back home; will feel good to get caught up! Hope you have some nice weather this weekend & the storms stay away!

Jill, glad you enjoyed lunch with your friend. That pie sounds wonderful, what a great mix of fruits! Hope work goes well; nice that Ginger & Holly are getting to spend some fun time together!!

Becky, sounds like you're meeting yourself coming & going; hope you have a great day & weekend!!

Sherry, sorry you could not get Quicken straightened out, hope you find all your files. Hope you have a good day at work and get all your errands run - sounds like a lot to do!! Siggie is beautiful!

Patti, did you pick many more beans? We'll probably have more tonight, and I have some banana peppers almost ready. Got out most of my jars yesterday, but need to pick up more small jars and lids.

Denise, glad the dr. was able to get you right in; hope you took it easy & rested yesterday, and that your appt. today goes well. DH sounds like a sweetheart!! Was very nice of DS to bring you supper!!

Belle, glad you had fun at the Casino and congrats on your winnings!! Did it rain all day, or were you able to get your trimming & weeding done?

Kim, my DH doesn't put things where they go either, and we've been here almost 5 years now, LOL!! That pie is on my "to try" list, sounds very good! Not sure why your crust stuck to the pan...

    Laura, hope you get an early start today; have a great time camping & Happy Birthday to DH!! Did you bake any of the new recipes to take along? Will miss chatting with you next week! {{{hugs}}}

Sheila, hope you have a great day showing your parents your new home & spending your first night there!! Hope all goes well with the move!! Sending love & hugs, will miss chatting with you too!!

Britt, hope you got your blanket finished. Sounds like you have a busy next couple of days with the parade & the girls coming home; hope they had fun at camp!!

Kathleen, glad you had such a nice time at your friend's house! Have the boys been helping with chores?

Shirley, have missed you here. So nice of you to help take care of your client while your boss is gone; hope you enjoy your weekend & your comfort food!!

Waving hi to everyone, hope each of you has a great day & weekend!!

    hugs, Lisa

    Happy  Friday!

    Good Morning Girls!

Temps are supposed to get hotter today, so the AC will go on in  a little while. It's nice now yet.

Today I am doing up some laundry.  Not sure what else, will probably fiddle around in garden some.  I picked a small bowl of beans yesterday, gave those to Ryan and Ashley, they stopped by.  Ashley got a phone call while here, they were taking her mom into emergency surgery for her appendix.  Not where she wanted to spend her birthday, at hospital, but......  They'll be back today. Ryan is making a door for a cabinet they picked up.  It was sitting by the road for free, just the door is bad.  So, he just making it a new door.   (like father, like son)

Don't know if anyone remembers Angela (ladybugmom), but today is her birthday.  Don't know if she is around at all anymore, but just wishing her  a Happy Birthday on her special day.

Anyone have anything exciting planned for the weekend?  We are going to a wedding Sat. nite, but that is about it for us, we'll just be doing things around the house mostly.

Hugs to all............welcomegardenPatti.gif picture by my3sons_2006

Re: June Cleaver Club Friday 7/25/08

I made the brownies yesterday.  They are excellent!  Very moist, cakelike brownies.  YUMMY!

Here's the recipe if anyone may be interested.

    SHEET PAN BROWNIES

1 small box instant chocolate pudding

    1 box chocolate cake mix

    12 oz. chocolate chips

Perpare the pudding as directed on box instructions using the 2 C. milk.

Immediately mix with the dry cake mix.  Stir in the chips.

Spread in a greased 15x10 pan.

Bake at 350º for 25 min.

    * I didn't have any choc. instant pudding in cupboard, so I used a cheesecake instant pudding.  I believe you could use whatever flavors you wanted to substitute. Next time I'm thinking of changing up to a white cake mix and see how that turns out. Be more like blondies maybe??

Re: June Cleaver Club Friday 7/25/08

Good Morning ladies. Thank you all so much for the well wishes! It means so much to me!! I'm feeling much better today, and I'm anxious to go to the doctor this afternoon. I went to bed at 9:30 last night, and didn't wake up until 3:30 to go to the bathroom. Like yesterday, I took my shower before dh left for work, and even got dressed today, didn't feel like hanging around all morning in PJ's again!! The pot pie my sister sent for supper last night was delicious. She made blueberry muffins too, and dh loved them so much he ate two this morning!! There is enough pot pie for supper again tonight. At least it will be an easy supper.

The weather today couldn't be more perfect. It's going to be in the high 80's today.

Margie, Enjoy the park today. Glad to hear you're doing something nice for yourself, after being so busy yesterday.

Deb, Looks like we're having the same weather that your having. How nice you husband is getting out at 1:30 today. Thats always nice especially on a Friday. My husband is getting out of work at noon today to take me to the doctor.

Jill, Glad to hear your having nice weather too. it's so nice not to have the hot humid weather we 've been having lately.

Sherry, Hope everything is OJ at the house. it's terrible when you have to worry about the house being broken into. Hope you have a better day today!

Hi Lisa, YES! I'm very lucky to have my husband. he couldn't be more loving, and attentive. He sure is a keeper! Glad your having beautiful weather too.

Patti, How nice you have a wedding tomorrow. I love weddings. I got a chuckle out of yourt comment on you son picking up a free cabinet. My husband did the same thing. When he was a letter carrier, this one house had a couple cabinets outside for free, they had just done their kitchen over. He brought them home and one he uses in his workshop, the other cabinet he put in my laundry room. I keep all my extra canned good in it. Boy, does it come in handy. Knowing my husband the way I do, he would have done exactley the same thing, brought the free cabinet home, and put on a new door.

Well, thats it for now, I should have some breakfast. have a great day everyone!

    Denise

Denise,  glad to hear you are feeling better.  Bad me for not saying so earlier. Hugz.......

Loling at your free cabinets comment.  You should come to my house,  we are the palace of "recycled" things.  My hubby is always bringing things home from work.  Of course, most of it is very good "stuff", but how much "stuff" do we need?   I could go on for hours..................lol

Good morning June friends! Where is the summer going? Last week we speng the week in the north woods of Wisconsin, it was really nice. Nice that it's Friday now, always hard coming back to work after being off for a week. Looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow!

This Sunday is our church picnic and my brother LOVES our church picnic, so I'm picking him up from the group home tomorrow to bring him down for the weekend. We'll take him back on Sunday afternoon.

Other than that, not much going on! Newlyweds are doing well. Still no pictures from the photographer. grrr. Trying to make headway in my scrapbooks. I have so many albums I want to complete. Our state fair starts next week. So far I have plans to go twice, it's so much fun! Patti, do you get down to the fair at all? Becky, do you go?  Patti, have you got any plans for the weekend of Aug 16th? That's the next weekend that I have nothing going on, maybe we can get together for lunch!

Well, work is calling. Nice to check in with everyone! Wendy

    Good Friday Morning Jue Friends!!

Not allot going on here today.  Just some general cleaning and what not.  I keep forgetting to wash my towels, so I think I'll do that today.  It has been getting quite cool at night lately.  I wake up freezing and have to turn off my fan.  When I go to bed, it is too warm to not have the fan on.  I think I am making breakfast for dinner tonight.  Not totally sure, but that is what kids asked for.  Since it is so easy, it's hard to say no.  If I do, I think I'll make biscuits instead of toast.  With the kids home on summer break, we are going through allot of bread.

Margie, glad you are having nice weather.  Enjoy it as much as possible.

Deb, it's so nice DH gets home early.  Mine said he'd be home early today, but not sure exactly how early.  He got home at 3:30 yesterday.  Glad you and DH have nice weather for doing yard work.

Jill, you sure have been having some delicious sounding veggie meals.  Sounds like you had a very fun and enjoyable evening last night.

Becky, hope things settle down soon and you can come and visit with us.

Sherry, so sorry you are having problems with Quicken still.  Eight years would be a royal pain to have to input.

Lisa, blueberry bread sound really good.  I so happy for you that your garden is producing so well.  Hopefully next year when I start container gardening I can be so lucky.

Patti, here's some good thoughts that your weather does not get TOO hot.  So sorry Ryan and Ashley's visit was cut short.  Have you heard how Ashley's mom doing this morning?  Your brownies sound so good and easy.  I think I'll have to add those ingredients to the shopping list.

Denise, glad you are feeling better.  Please don't do much until after your doctor's appointment.

Wendy, good to see you this morning.  Aren't photographers wonderful?  You'd think with what they charge, you could get your photos a little quicker.

To anyone I may have missed or those yet to come, HAVE A FANTASTIC FRIDAY!!!

    Kim

Sherry, I forgot to read your post from last night.  Thanks for the pie crust info.  My cookbook has the exact ingredients you use + amounts of each.  It did not say to grease the pan though.  I am going to assume that that is why it stuck.  I don't use the spray as it all contains soy.  Next time I'll rub the bottom and sides with a dab of canola oil.   I measured 3/4 cup out of a 12 ounce can of the limeade.  I still have 3/4 cup for another pie or to make lime colada popcycles.  My kids have to eat the fudgecycles first.
