I bought a Wii yesterday!

My ds has been begging for one all summer and I've been telling him he can buy one (or at least pay half) with his birthday money.  He is on a mission trip with the youth from church and we will pick him up tomorrow.  Boy will he be surprised when he gets home!!!!  He will be 13 in 3 weeks, so we decided to go ahead and get an early present so he can enjoy it his last few days of summer vacation.  I can't wait to try it out with him!!!  We got Smash Brothers Brawl, his favorite game.  His friends have it and they have had "Brawl" parties this summer.  I guess now I will have to host a party!!  YIKES!

Oh what a fun surprise! 

That is DS favorite game too!!!! We surprised him with a wii back in May. He almost started to cry when he came home from school and saw it all plugged in and ready to go. First he saw Dh reading the booklet. "He said dad why are you reading that we don't havvv..... thats when he saw it and almost passed out!!!! LOL

 I know he will love it!

 You have to try the boxing and tennis but be careful you will be sore for days after you play. Take it easy and take a lot of breaks at first.

Did he go on a World Changers trip?  If so, it will be an eye-opening experience he will never forget.   I think the youth from my church went this week, but I am not sure where they went.   A couple of summers ago, my brother's church went on a WC trip with JustCookin's church.  My DB got to meet her granddaughter and SIL.

Jane, yes it was World Changers.  He had heat exhaustion on Monday, so I had to go get him Tuesday to come home and rest and took him back Wed. night.  Good thing we were close by or else he'd have had to just stay at the church sick.  He's in Macon at Tabernacle.

our daughter, my sister (not beachie) and my parents have them.....they all love theirs.....my mom loves the cow riding game.....enjoy!!!!!! 

a side story just came to mind....we took the grandkids bowling acouple of weeks ago....a family came in with mom, grandma...and a maybe 12 year old boy and a horrible and I do mean horrible 3-4 year old.....the bowling attendent came over and told them he would have to be quieter....well anyhoo.....the little boy went up to bowl and didn't get a strike...NO DUH....and he PITCHED a fit right there...and said if he didn't get strikes like he does when playing WII then he would not bowl...all the kids around were staring with their mouths hanging open...our grandkids too.....and all us grandparents were shaking our heads.....he finally stopped bowling and went and pouted with another family...very weird...as I don't think they knew each other......
