    Rec. Chicken n Stars Soup [easy;)

    Chicken and Stars Soup

    Recipe By : Real Food for Real People

    Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
    -------- ------------ ------------ --------- --------- --
    1 1/2 cups Pasta -- Stellini, Alphabets or other small shape
    1 tablespoon Butter or Margarine
    3 medium Carrots -- finely diced
    2 stalks Celery -- finely diced
    6 cups Low Sodium Chicken Broth
    1 1/2 cups Diced Chicken -- cooked
    1/2 cup Frozen Peas -- thawed
    Salt -- to taste

    Prepare pasta according to package directions, drain and set aside. Melt the
    butter or margarine in a medium saucepan. Add carrots and celery. Saute
    vegetables over medium heat until soft, about 7 to 10 minutes. Stir in chicken
    broth, diced chicken, pasta and peas. Bring the soup to a boil, season to taste
    with salt and serve.

    Jake will love this, thank you Rosie!    It made me LOL though, my sister would not eat pasta when she was smaller, so we told her the "stars" in the soup were rice smushed flat and stamped out with star cutters   :)

    Rosie, I remember this soup but I use to eat the Giggle Noodle Soup as a kid because Heaven forbid there was chicken in my soup lol. I'm so glad DD is not a fussy eater like I was.

    Nancy,my favorite soup when I was a kid was Lipton noodle.Sure did`nt have to worry about pieces of chiken that.Lol.

    My kids loved this soup but it doesn't taste like it used to, so I'm glad to have your recipe.

    I used to love the Lipton's too but even that doesn't taste like it used to. The flavor seems to have disappeared.
