    freezing baklava

We are having a big party to celebrate my niece's many accomplishments and I volunteered to make the cookie/candy trays. The party isn't till the end of August, but I wanted to get an early start so I'm not stressed out the last week before party-time. I found a super easy recipe for baklava and thought it may be one of the things to add to the party trays. My only question is can baklava be frozen once it's baked, or will freezing ruin the texture???

Off the top of my head I'd say no you shouldn't freeze it, but I've seen it in the freezer section at Sam's Club. I don't just don't know how good it is.

Personally I wouldn't chance wasting the ingredients. The recipe I use came from Cooks Illustrated and it says that it can be covered and stored at room temperature for up to 10 days. Last Christmas I made some the day before we flew to NY and put it in a plastic container and took it with me and it was fine the whole week we were there.

    Yes, I know I am a btch.
I have been a btch all my life. I am good at it.
It takes very little effort on my part, and I am used to it. Applying the same reasoning to you, I cannot understand your offense at being called stupid.

Thanks, I think I'll wait and make it the week before we travel to Wisconsin.
