    Hillary,

     I just wanted to Thank You for the info. on the OXO Handheld Mandoline Slicer .

    I read the reviews  and it seemed like a nice slicer. So this week I returned the other one and bought the OXO Slicer. I LOVE it so far. In fact I just used it to slice  strawberries. Yesterday I used it for slicing cucumbers and the day before for zuchinni.

    I was hoping to find one with different blades for  slicing potatoes for hash browns. But then I thought how many times have I EVER sliced potatoes for hash browns? NEVER Smile

    This slicer is so nice to store in the drawer with the other kitchen utensils.I'm so glad  I read your post and also the reviews on the slicer. Maybe some day I will buy a more expensive slicer with all the bells & whistles but for now I'm happy with this one. Thanks again!!!
