J is helping to coach a kids football team this year...

I know that he's going to love it, he's a football FANATIC, but this is sure as hel going to eat up his time.  They've had practice every night this week, after work, so I don't see him until about 7:30pm.  Sad

Ah well, he's enjoying it and it'll only last until sometime in October.

Given that Labor Day is now less than a month away (Indifferent) you'll not need to wait too very long! Wink

My dh absolutely LOVES to help coach ds's football team.  Sometimes I would go and watch or walk around the track for exercise at the park.  I love going to the games!  I can't wait for football season to start.  Ds's first game is Sept. 13th.

I don't know when they're first game is, but I'm sure that he'll want me to go to several...if not all of them.  LOL  We'll see what this heat does first!

He's the defense coach for this team.

You couldn't keep me away from a game!  LOL!  Heat or no heat I'm there cheering.  This will be his 4th year playing and he's pretty good if I do say so myself.  Is this your ds's first year playing?  Before my boys played I really didn't like football that much, but once I started watching them I "figured" it out and now I love it.

Oh no.  Lil Man isn't playing football.  J works with the father of the coach and offered to help if the guy needed it, they talked and he made J the defense coach.  He's hoping that I'll let Lil Man play in a few years, said something about this helping him get his foot in or something like that.  LOL

Oh, OK.  I guess I was thinking he was coaching his team.  I've found with most kids they either love it or hate it.  My oldest hates it and the youngest loves it with every fiber of his being!  LOL!

That is so great of him to do that.  Coming from a parent who's ds has played football for 10 years, I can honestly say  the time the coaches put in is absolutely incredible!  My son has had some wonderful coaches who are real role models for him.  (and sme - not so great.)  But your husband is doing more than coaching - he is setting an example>  he sounds like a great guy!
