Good Morning!!!

We are in for a RAINY day ...............but it seems to be a regular thing around here lately!!  TV said Global Warming is causing much more rain over some areas of the US.; hope that does NOT mean also more s*** come winter!

Second pot of coffee coming up..................English Muffins & jellies & jams........

I was just reading last nite's posts..................:O)   Evening attire sounds like fun!!!  We get some "DOOZIES"        at the Thrift Store............lol    even some "falsies" or what ever they are called now!   LOL      How about a feather boa???????????  :O)   You girls come up with some great ideas & IT IS just for FUN!!!!    Life for seniors should surely be that!!!!

Thrift Store this morning...................& I would like to see some other pictures of any of the get-togethers if any has any to send...................

No rain here at least not yet. The worst thing happened though my cable seems to be out so no channels are available . It makes me feel lost and it is almost time for the Today show. I sure hope nothing like that happens tonight when it is time for the opening cermonies of the olympics. television does really rule my world LOL.

Vinney slipped out the door and ran up to my neighbor this morning . He just wanted to be friendly but she is obviously afraid of dogs she screamed . She has a dog I don't understand. Vinney can be obnoxcious. He is a jumper when he sees new people. I don't know how to break him of it as he never does it to me. I need the dog whisperer lol .

Well my ankle is still feeling pretty good. Ihope it continues. If it were out of place don't you think that would show in X-rays? Maybe it is cartiledge that moves and not the bones.

Wow Apple second pot of coffee you must have gotten up withte garden fairies lol . No garden faires here i think I have gremlins instead and they come and plant weeds.

Good Morning Apple And MJ And All To Come ...

Rain, rain and more rain for us today also. Thunderstorms again this afternoon. We certainly have had our share of storms this summer but it is making everything stay nice and green.

Apple ... A nice toasty English muffin with jam sounds great. Thanks. Looks like  your weather is about the same as mine.

MJ ... Poor Vinney .... he was just trying to be friendly. I love dogs so even if they jump, I just jump with them.  LOL  BTW, I think Xrays will show fractures of the ankle but not always so they do a CT scan also if they don't find anything. That can tell if the bones are not aligned right. If it still bothers you, why not go have at least the xray taken? Don't want it to get worse especially since you're still walking on it.

Not much cleaning today as we will have Clancy (the big dog) from Sunday through Tuesday and he does like to shed! My neighborhood is very quiet this week as our neighbor to the right is on vacation and our new  neighbors to the left haven't officially moved in yet. They are re-doing the entire condo with all new wood floors and completely gutting the kitchen and putting in new cabinets, flooring, appliances etc.  It was in beautiful shape but I guess not to their taste. Lots of $$ being spent..

Going to get another coffee and will add an oven  baked blueberry pancake to the breakfast table.

No rain here! Won't even reach 80* today and I've turned off the AC. A slight nip in the air sure gets me going. I don't know what I'll do first. Sure have alot to choose from, that's for sure!

 Good Morning everyone. It sure is beautiful outside this morning,  I need to mow my grass, didn't get to it yesterday we had little pop up showers so the grass was wet, so hopping today, need to get to the store and make a salad for the lake picnic tomorrow.  Just a few things to do today. 

 MJ I'm glad your ankle is doing better. I don't know how you can get Vinnie to stop doing that. I had to get a shock clooer for my dog, all it took was once and now when its on her she has a brain and listens to me.

 Apple I'm not a big coffee drinker 1 cup and thats it for me.

MJODMA  the rain sure makes everything nice and green

Linylady Its nice when we can save the AC, mine will be off today too.

 Well better get started and get some indoor stuff done.

 Good Morning Ladies - A special day today, as for the date - Our paper had a picture of a lady that was going to be 88 today on 8-8-08.  I imagine there will be lots of weddings in Vegas!

The sun is shining here - don't think we are suppost to have rain until Sunday, but I could be wrong - Happened before, going to happen again!! LOL

It's Key Lime yougart with Fiber One in it for breakfast - - - An takers?

DH's family reunion is tomorrow - - I'm making a chicken hot dish, and haven't deceided what else yet - Maybe a banana cake or grape salad - - I've got all day to think about it. It's in a little town about 25 miles from here that has a community center they rent out. Works out nicely, bathrooms right there, and a kitchen.

Sounds like the excitement is mounting in the Eastern part of the neighborhood.  What a wonderful time you will have.  It's just so nice to get together and see and visit each other again.  Enjoy

Well, I have a load of laundry in the dry and need to go water my hanging baskets on the porch.  Thinking I'm getting to the 5's - made the bed, too!

I think I short-changed on the water on the first pot of coffee........but it didn't taste stronger....?????????????   I don't know; it was early!!  :O)   I'll just take a travel cup with me to the Thrift Store.

  A HUGE spider was & still may be in my closet  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I DO NOT like   them..........I was on the front porch while SO tried to get him; says he's not sure!!! I sprayed everywhere & shut the doors............I may NEVER get in there to get anything including clothes again   !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    GOOSEBUMPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning Grannies.  Things are stirring in the GN. Sounds like a lot of us have the same temps today. Our high will be 80* But the humidity is 92% Ugh!

Apple--English muffins sound good. Your right, those ideas for the "Evening Gown" competition are some of what I was thinking. I know the Grannies will come up with some "doozies".  I have confidence in them.

MJ---Vinney is such a rascal. Hope the neighbor lady wasn't too badly  shaken Glad your ankle is doing better. You still should rest it as much as you can. IMO

Liny---Cool temps seem to motivate us, don't they?  Don't make the "to-do" list too long. Save some time for SSDs. 

Lakemom--Hope you get the yard mowed today. What kind of salad are you making?

Good morning, a wonderful morning.  Windows open and sunshining!  couldn't ask for anything better.  I have to give a haircut this morning and 2 this afternoon.  In between, we'll be getting some groceries!   

GREENBACK  What a nice time to look forward to at the reunion.  Lots of chatting and getting reaquainted!  Do most of them live near by?

LAKEMOM  First of all, congratulations on your graduation!!  Great job and I hope you find employment soon.  Enjoy the picnic tomorrow.  Do you know what you're taking?

MJ glad the ankle is improving now be careful out there. I have trouble walking in the yard too. I can trip over nothing! I hate it when I go to a friends house and the dogs are all over me. Two places and they are big dogs that could topple this grannie over. I read your last post and the mumu sounds like the kind of thing I had in mind for evening wear. Something that would pop on over a swim suit to look beautiful while we all do the Miss America Strut then off with that and on to the bathing beauty part

MA no rain here today just beautful weather to enjoy. Your new neighbors must have $$$ and don't mind spending it what they want!

It is soooo much cooler here today.  Our towns festival starts today through the weekend.  Looks like good weather for it.  I always like to go and just walk around and look at all the arts & crafts.  Sometimes I will find something.  DH is going to run in the 5K on Sunday morning.

Just finished my treadmill walk so I'm ready for the coffee.  I was up earlier today as DD went out to water flowers much earlier with all the vendors setting up their booths, it would be harder to get close to the flowers.  So I had her lunch packed and ready to go for her.

MJ...I hate when the cable goes out too.  My DH keeps commending himself that he hasn't turned the tv on once since he's been back from his bike trip.  He said he didn't miss it at all.  He keeps rubbing it in to me cause I'm usually watching something if I'm not on the computer or outside.

MA...what ever happened to the idea you were throwing around of getting another dog?  Can't remember what kind it was that you had.

LINY...my, you've been here early lately.  I love that little nip in the air.  Any fishing plans for today?

Lakemom...congrats on finishing up your class...now you will be on your way.  When will DD#2 be coming back?

Good morning. The windows and doors are open again and I love it. Put the AC on last night so that awe could all sleep. We sleep upstairs and if Albert is hot he paces most of the night and then comes and gives you a kiss in the middle of the night just to let you know that he can't sleep. Such a nice guy.

Apple I know we have Global Warming but it seems that it gets the blame for any thing that's different. English muffin and some jam sounds good. You are really going to look around the Thrift Store different today. I'm with you about the spiders.

MJ ON NO!!!! NO tv. I'm afraid I would be kind of lost here too. Thanks for mentioning the olympics for tonight. Gary has to go and help at the church tonight and I was wondering what I could watch. I usually can't find much. If your neighbor has a dog she can't be scared of them. Vinney must just have surprised her. Trust me it's a whole different story if Vinney jumps on someone or Albert jumps on someone. Now that would have really surprised her. Take it easy with that ankle. Let it really get better.

Ma I wish we could get a little of your rain. No storms just some nice rain. It's so dry here. Clancy is like Albert --- leaves a little trail of fur where ever he goes. Love him anyhow.

Jane I had KeyLime yugart for dessert last night. I really like the stuff.

Lakemom are you having a graduation party? We will all come.

CJ ... DH would like to get a Black Russian Terrier but since neither of us is retired, it makes it hard (and I feel unfair) to try to train a puppy and leave him alone for extended times. My work day is only about 6 1/2 hours long but I would still have to come home at lunchtime and let him out and that takes all of my half hour for lunch just rushing to get here and back, so really not a good set-up just yet. But we both love dogs and have always had one so it's a tough decision to make.

Stylist ... Please send some of that gorgeous weather our way! It's been gloomy, rainy and noisy with thunder all week.

Grammy ... Now  maybe you should bring some of that Frederick's of Hollywood stuff from the mission to the meet for the runway pageant! LOL Now, that would be a hoot! LOL

Jane ... Have fun at the reunion tomorrow. What kind of chicken dish are you thinking or making?

Lakemom ... Hope you can do a little bit of relaxing this weekend now that classes are over. When do you take your states?

Dishwasher is running and a load of clothes in the washer. Place stayed pretty neat all week and with Clancy coming as I mentioned earlier, no sense in wasting more time cleaning. Tara and her DH are going to the beach up in NH for a few days. Wish we were going with them.
