It's still the early hour of morning, the sun has been up for a short time, birds are singing their little hearts out, roosters are crowing and a donkey is braying in the distance.

Mmm, thank you for the coffee and delectable sweet to nibble on.  Flies are buzzing--not landing where I can smack em'. A very important, though I do not like to do it, chore must be done today. Grocery shopping. Pickings are rather "lean" in the pantry and fridge. Even the cat food I poured out this morning was barely enough to satisfy hungry appetites.

    Morning Chatters!

Oh, Kozy, that banana cream dessert looks scrumptious.  Bananas are a breakfast food, right? lol

I'm having my iced tea and just finished some toast.

It's a beautiful, mild sunny day here today.  No rain expected until next week.  We really could use a good soaking.

I have a hanging basket by my front door and noticed half of it didn't look very good.  Upon closer observation, there is a birds nest that looks like a cave inside of it.  I'll try to get a picture...

Here it is... mama hopped out of the cave so I could snap these...

So now, I guess I will not be watering that plant again.  She has 3-4 eggs in there.

I have to work today, so I will check back when I can.

Hi ladies..It was rather cool when I got up this morning..Had a sleepless night so I got up early..About 5:30. So I layed back down about 8:00..Up again at 10:00 now headed for the kitchen for that coffee. I will pass on the banana desert and just have toast.

Well since cleaning out the ears has me hearing again with the aids I think I will be getting that tread mill..Not sure just when but soon..

Morning Chatters.    Love bananas and that dessert looks just lucious.

AF love that avatar of your "lap dog"  Big Smile  How does she get out of that chair.   For a couple years I had doves make nests in my hanging basket by the patio door,  as soon as I realized there was a nest I quit watering and knew the plant would die but at least it sheltered new life.   Doves are not very flighty critters and she'd be sitting on the nest and let me look right in.

Kozy glad to "hear" you are able  to hear again  :).  At least it was something relatively simple like just getting the wax out of your ears and not expensive like the aides would have been.

    Laundry awaits.

gkids..you are so right and I learned a lesson...I will see that I do not get a wax build up like that again..I had no idea it was happening untill I lost my hearing and the aids did not work.

luvdash weeded my flower beds yesterday. And they really needed it

Laundry??Oh yeah,,get off your butt Kozy...chores await you....

How does she get out of that chair.

With a little help!  When she decided she couldn't get comfortable, she attempted to leave the chair but it went with her!  I had to hold it down and help guide her leg out of it.

    I agree, well put!

    Re: Critter Chat...8-8-08

Good afternoon all!  I've got most of my chores done, just sitting here watching the floor dry!

Kozy, glad to hear you're back to hearing again.  My dh's family has serious problems with wax build ups!  I keep threatening dh with getting him hearing aids but I wonder if it's just wax.  Have you ever try those ear wax candles?  Dh didn't have much success with them and I almost caught his hair on fire!

Af how cool that you have a bird's nest in your flower basket!  I have one in one of decorative birdhouses.  I don't mind though, she sings to us whenever we are out in the pool.

Hi red!  Grocery shopping isn't my favorite thing to do either but we got to keep our critters fed!

Hi gkids!  Is Angel keeping the bunnies on their exercise regiment?  Does dh have any car shows this week end?  Dh is trying to talk us into going to one in NJ.  It's called Lead East, it's a '50's car show.  He's bribing dd with staying over in a hotel and shopping. LOL!

Hi roen!  So you don't live that far from Kozy?

    Thanks again for your condolences.

    Re: Critter Chat...8-8-08

Jan..I never heard of an ear wax candle....I use peroxide twice a day for 3 days then flush them out with warm water. I let the hearing aid place do the flushing because the gun they use has more force,,IF I did it at home I have rubber ball type thing...I am learning. You really need to do this at least every 6 months..Wax builds fast and if you let it go it really hardens and I will not even gross you out with the build up....Sorry as I know this is a pet thread but we do shift away from the subject at times....grin...As a family we care about you as well as your pets...

Yes Jan..Roen and I learned we live very close to one another....Just a few minutes drive.  I will look foreward to meeting her.
