Yesterday was the most expensive shopping trip I have had in awhile.

    Indifferent

I spent  $3475.00 . And I didnt' find me a pair of tennis shoes, or Kimmy's Halo supplement.

Just a 100 lb . bag of crack corn is almst 16.00.

Then I had to pay DD's tuition and books,

    Car insurance

    Kimmy's Frontline, 3 month supply

    Oil Change

Ink in a Blink, one cartridge

DD got a pair of shoes..Good buy, though, 20.00 for a pair of Avia, reg. 50.00.

Plus eating out, pizza brought home too. I didn't even go to the grocery store.

     Easy come, easy go!  Wink

I've had days/weeks like that, too. Tongue Tied

Had to have the a/c system replaced & surgery for the cat both on the same day last year.  I wrote 2 checks...$13,000.  What a memorable day.  Indifferent

That's a big chunk of change, Cat. I remember when DS was in college and law school. A lot of fees and books! Books were so expensive.

    Gulp gulp gulp today...

Today I laughed to myself when I walked to town hall to pay our property taxes for the quarter...I walked there and back to save money and was carrying two checks, one ours, the other my neighbor's.  Together they totaled $6400....and I was worried about using the gas!!  (Gas averages $3.71 here in NJ today.----what a bargain!!)  We've had a few "gulp moments" in our years too.

Is she able to purchase used books from the college book store? (or is it not college)?

My dd did when she went, and got what she could there. Saved alot. ALSO keep the reciepts! Since we file long for for income taxes it is a deduction! :) We didnt know that the first yr...LOL

Cheryl, yup, that is used. We keep the receipts for our taxes, also.  We could probably find them online, but, they seem to wait very late to let them know what books they need. DD gets so stressed, if she does'nt have them ready.

Some of her friends wait till after the class starts, to even see if they are going to be using the book.sometimes it happens.

My DD went to Com.college last yr & lived at home so that was fine but in 2 weeks we transfered her into state college. 1st semester is $2900 & books plus room & food. Oh this is getting so expensive, had to buy her all the things for her apt too. She moves in in 2 weeks, we are boxing up now. I have been to Big Lots, Target, Walmart etc..using coupons in the grocery store. Well, next yr. we should have most of this bought so it won't be that expensive. Those books, forget about returning them, the colleges seem not to want them back, sometimes paperback books or the teacher wants different books.

Those cartridges must have been expensive. LOL.

Try ordering them online as they are cheaper. I buy mine that is 1/4 the price that I would pay for them locally and I usually get free shipping too and pay no tax. If you want the info or website send me a private message via email from here.

Hidecogal, No, it was probably the cheapest of my buys. LOL

We have an Ink in a Blink, and they refill your cartridge. It cost me 10.00 to refill a 21 size HP cartridge.  A bit cheaper than what I can buy it. It use to be about half the price.
