LF...you have to go back...way, way, back before the Cars were even born if you wanna play along with the Golden Oldies here.  Some of us have 45's and some 78's...do you know what they are young lady? lol.

The Cars?............did Matel make them? Or did they come with the Erector Sets?

I had some 45s when I was a kid.  And mom had 78s, mostly of old Jewish folk songs in Yiddish.  I remember that one of them was red, and they were very thick vinyl.

My folks mostly listened to classical music, so I'm kind of working my way backwards in term of popular tunes.  I'm a big fan of Louis Prima.

as a kid we had a small record player....but I was afraid to use it- mom always got after me that I might scratch the records.
