    Dog [&] Critter Chat 8/15/08

    How about "good evenoon"?

I didn't see a Critter Chat for today so I figure, better late than never.

The girls had their very expensive check up today!!  Libby is a fatty, fat, fat dog!  I have now purchased Fat Dog Diet dog food from the vet.  He said it will get the quickest results.  I hope he's right.  I thought they may not like the taste but I caught Libby trying to eat Sammie's.  Perhaps that's why she has packed on the pounds.

I hope everyone is having a good day.  The weekend is here, yaaahh!  Any fun plans for you all?

Hi AF!  Does it actually say that on the can?  lol.  I know this is none of my beeswax, but the vets can charge an awful lot of money for these 'special' foods.   I just want you to be aware there are other 'special' pet foods out there.  Perhaps take a look at all the 'special stuff' listed on the can or bag and see if there's something out there of the same quality...but a little cheaper.

You can look online or in these 'pet food' stores.  Just wanted to make you aware, my friend.

How you doin?   Thank you for your kind and comforting words, my friend.

LOL. No. It's Hill's R/D Prescription Diet dry food.  I thought the "R/D" should be F/D, for "fat dog"!

Thanks for the tip about looking elsewhere when I check the ingredients.  I was panicked when they said she weighed 103!  Last time I was at the vet, he wasn't promoting any certain brand, he just said the R/D will get quick results.  I figured I needed to start immediately, so I bought it.  I know have some time to shop around and find something equally as good.

I'm doing ok, thanks!  Things are a bit hectic with with the boys' back to school/going away to college thing.

I know words don't take the hurt away, but they are heartfelt, my friend.

Well I am here at last..I have been trying all day to get on line to no avail..BUT at last I am connected.

Angel ..I have Kozi on what is called "perscription CD"  It can only be baught at a vets.  It is $40.00 for a 40lb bag...Kozi is not a big eatter so it last me a long time.  Kozi just can not digest store baught food. She was put on this after they removed stones from her bladder....I offer her 1/2 cup twice a day but some days she skips her morning meal..

Well I was denied help with my hospital bills. Seems I am to rich...lol...I make about $100.00 a month to much money...grin...But its ok. I will make small payment each month till its paid off or I pass on to where ever we go when we leave here. Like you once said Angel, its not like they can reposses the stents...

widdle...I am keeping you in my thoughts always.. I intended on sending you mail but could not get my mail to come up...May all your days be brighter as time heals your hurt.
