Hey y'all.  How are you doing today?

Filly- I cracked up at your "balck hole of Calcutta" comment to Roma yesterday.  What a perfect description of that darn tote bag. lol  Hugs to you.

IM- What all do you put in your venison stew?

Laura- That really sucks that they took you scissors.  A friend of mine had some things stolen out of her suitcase during a flight one time and they took a family bible that she was carrying to a funeral.  She said  "well, if they were stealing abible they needed it more than I did."

We are having dreary rainy weather in Ohio today.  It's good soup weather, but I have a chicken to roast for supper.  Not sure what I'm making with it, though.

My sister called me this morning.  Every year I beg her to make me a pumpkin roll because hers are just so much better than mine (and I don't like to clean up the mess!)  She said shes making me one for my birthday.  Yippee!  That excites me.Big Smile

Rebecca- My special thing I do for myself is a bubble bath and a glass of wine, with a book.  I am a busy gal so when I can steal a few minutes at the end of the day this is what I do.

Tawny asked an interesting question on her blog and it really made me think.  What if you couldn't buy anything on credit, with mortgages being the exception.  Not even a car.  How would that affect the way you live?  Verryy interrresting...

Change the world by loving people!

Tawny's question- I think I would be a bit happier! I don't use the plastic. But dear ole dh does. He is self employed and feels he needs them to make ends meet sometimes. So on one side I wonder what would have happened to his buisness if he didn't have them.

But we are way in debt now. I used a credit card 1 time to purchase clothes for a new job that required office atire. It took me forever to pay that off. Cured me righ then and there.

Instead of burning bra's we ought to burn our credit cards to be liberated!!!!! Feel the freedom!!!

PS I loved seeing all the different answers for how you pamper yourself. I never did get to pamper myself yesterday. Perhaps today.

    Good morning everyone.

Kelly's Mission:  Shine the bathroom sink and counter top.

Kids Room:  Take a damp cloth and wipe off the fingerprints from the light switch plates, door and door knobs.  If your child is old enough show them how to do this and let them.  This is a teaching moment.

No Kids:  Pick a room and do a Hot Spot Fire Drill.

Need some help.  I ran AdAware and now I can't get into the other room.  I even created a new user name and password and activated it when I got the thank you email and still can't find the room there.  I have to run out to the bank but I'll be back later.

    Later......Dori

    Hi Rosies!

Feel a lot better today as I've had enough sleep.  DH and I were both dragging yesterday.  Getting ready to leave in a bit for a meeting at the school.

We went over and saw Hayden last night to take his gifts.  He was so excited when Grandpa picked him up.  He started wiggling and giggling with glee!  Guess he really did miss us.  He is all over the place now and has figured out there's nothing he can't climb on.  Got another tooth while we were gone.

Oh, and the other news.  DIL is not pregnant!  She bought a test and it came back negative.

Hugs to all.  Have a great Thursday!~~~Laura

    Good morning, Roses!

It has taken me two nights to make up the zzzzzzz's, Laura. I got up late again today and feel great!  That's so cute about Hayden. Boy, once they navagate it's full time baby watch.  And now the "real" fun begins!

I love the black hole description!  It's perfect!  Did you ask Pip, where I found my baubble? In the sack the sales clerk put it in.  The most obvious place. But I had purchased a golf hat for Tom and was not thinking she'd put such a small thing in with the hat but logic would tell us .....duh! I think it would be nice for Hayden to have a little bro or sis. I'm disappointed but easy for me to say!

Well, Dori, I can't help you out with that one.  I had a heck of a time going in there once...that's why I ended up as Primadonna. So many names and passwords, finally they got me one that worked.

I only have one credit card which I use for maybe a purchase I don't want to write a check for.  But I always pay the card off and it's never anything I can't afford.  Like Rebecca, I learned my lesson after over extending myself once (when I was single a hundred years ago) but I never forgot the lesson.  Tom and I have never abused the credit system only using it for car purchases. My #1 son and his wife I'm sure own thousands.  Especially Mary, she flings that card round pretty liberally.  Kind of scarey.  I think you get in the habit and don't think of how much stuff really costs.

I can't imagine you worrying about what you eat today, Diana!  Roses, Diana has a PERFECT FIGURE!  Bet she puts a tablespoon of everything on her plate then takes a couple of bites.  No wonder she looks so good!  Have fun tonight!!!

The pumpkin roll sounds wonderful, Pip!  Anything I don't have to make is a gift!

Tom wants to go to Costco today so I'd better get my face on.  Have a great day.

Have we lost Maizey?  Where the heck is she?  Stacy? Lorea....I know you're there! Hoos....Fluffy....where are you guys????  And Hab....guess she is just too busy with all those little ones...the home schooling thing! She hasn't been here since her vacation!  Tango...are you ok???

    Well, I'm off....later gators!

Hi Rosies!  I have been trying to reply for ages and it kept saying there was a problem. I finally checked the members and I was no longer there. It's taken me a while to get back in here. Thanks Roma for thinking about me. I have been pretty busy with STUFF around here. A lot of things have happened. I am soooo jealous of the reunion. I also really wanted to be there. I know you ladies are a barrel of fun. I have met Cook (Diana), Jane, and Tango in person and have talked to Roma and Laura on the phone. I would have loved to have met more of you. Our weather here is gorgeous right now. Last week we were in the 90's then the weekend was 60. Now we're in the 80's.  I have been keeping busy sewing. I'm dressing little teddy bears I bought at the Dollar Tree. I'm making sets of the 3 Bears. They are looking pretty cute if I say so myself. But these darn dresses are a literal pain in the you know what. Last week I painted on little white tee shirts for my grand daughters. They turned out cute. Then I painted on some plain white onesies for my littlest grand daughter. Next I will be making 2 of them fairy princess costumes for Halloween. My gd Kalysta is going to be Hanna Montana. I found the wig on clearance this summer and she was so excited she can hardly wait for Halloween. Too Cute!! You know the saying "if I knew grandchildren were so much fun I would have done that first" well that's how I feel.

I also want to welcome our new members. You will really love these ladies. I have been here a long time and always find myself thinking about each of them during the day. Sometimes giggling, sometimes teary eyed. They truly are a part of my life. It's amazing, really. Computer friends. Who would have thought??

Well, I better quit gabbing and go get busy doing something, even if it's wrong. HAHA

    Hi Rosies,

I actually checked in this morning....opening a room...Oh well Diana, was thinking the same thing at the same time.....

    Morning Rosies,

Just wanted to open the room.....

I am on my way to work, and then hubby and I will run to Sams....gotta pick up our Halloween candy!!!!

Ok it is now 5:30 and Ken & I are drinking Champagne...the Pink one from the Winery...we are toasting my knees...I am so tickled Pink (champagne) that I feel so great!!!  LOL

We did go to Sams.....and spent way too much...hubby said I bet it is $125.00...I said no way it will be double...I was almost right...$260.00....we didn't even buy anything BIG!!!!   Oh well we are pretty stocked for a while....at least!!

I just made up a meatloaf and tossed that in the oven, peeled the taters and they are waiting in the pot to be cooked...all I have to do is toss the niblet corn in the micro, and ,make some mushroom gravy...and WaLa dinner will be served!!!

My foot is feeling so much better....steroids are a GOOD thing!!!....and still no facial hair...well no more then I already had!!!

I think it is so funny that we are STILL talking about Romas bag....you had to see her when she came to the Hotel from the airport...she immediately told me all about that wonderful bag...and what a great deal she got on it....boy do I love that WOMAN!!!!

One of the things I forgot to tell you all, is that when we pulled up to the Terminal for me to drop roma off, she slides (My SUV is a tad too big for her) out and turns to get her purse, she looks at me..I am now outside of the door, and she says...."Oooohh, I am so MOIST between my legs....now I am sure she meant she was sweating from sitting in the car for 4 hours...but boy did we laugh when she said it...I'm sure I took it all wrong!!!!    LOL

So glad to see Lorea, stopping in...Woman you are so busy..all the time!!!  Where do you get the energy???  I envy your sewing...I tried years ago, but the lessons went on deaf ears!!

    .....it is WHAT it is.....

Oh my gosh Pat, how drunk did you get her on the trip to Tulsa?  I am just dying laughing here!  That little tidbit is the cherry on top of the trip to Branson!

Lorea, you don't know how many people have looked at me funny when I said I was meeting up with my "internet friends from all over the country".  Yup, just normal good people are the Rosies.

Been a busy day.  I worked and then wen to an office supply place to make some copies to send to my newly found cousins in Texas and N.C.  They went in one of those priorty mail envelopes that are one price.  Mailing the envelopes was cheaper than making the copies, but I think the cousins will be surprised at the documents I mailed them.

Grabbed a bite to eat and doing some work on the computer.

We are having a harvest festival on Saturday at the fairgrounds.  Wine tasting is included.  There is a sausage making contest, Farmer's garden, and several other things.  The evening show is a bull riding contest in the grandstand.

Hope everyone is having a great evening.  Hugs to all.

Hello, Buds!  LAURA:  Is DDiL SURE that she isn't pregnant???  I took a test when I was pregnant with Christopher & it was negative, but I just KNEW that I was pregnant!  I could just FEEL it, you know what what I mean???  Maybe she should take another test next week.  ROMA:  That is just too funny about the "Moistness"!  C&BW:  So happy to hear that Oreo's visit to the Vet turned out OK.  PIP:  I bet that you are really tired after all of that driving!  Doug mowed our yard Tuesday & weedeated.  While he was weedeating, he came across a small ground rattler!  EEEK!  I hate snakes!  He chopped his head off!  That thing was in our yard & not down by the ravine, so that scares me.  I would probably step on one & not even see it!  Did I say that I detest snakes???!Indifferent  Waving to all of the Rosebuddies!  Later, Taters!  ~Jeanne

MaryAnn, the Harvest Festival sounds like fun.

Jeanne, DIL seemed pretty adamant about the negative results.  But she did say it was weird getting sick.  She recently had an IUD put in.  Not sure as to the success rates for those.  I'll clue her in about taking another one in a week or so.
