I'm still amazed at this one.
Someone told me this morning her mother called her last night and said DON'T VOTE FOR OBAMA. The mother really likes him and thinks he'd make the best president but she voted for McCain because.... if Obama gets in he might side with HIS PEOPLE! You know the black people?
I said does your mother know that Obama is half white and the president can do little or nothing on his own, with congress, etc agreeing to it?
She said "really...?"
And she didn't know that and didn't know if her mother did, but she has already voted for McCain.
I wonder if anyone else feels like this?
The mother is a nurse and currently being sent to school (by her job) to be an RN, and one might assume had gone through high school, and has a TV and might know about presidents and what they can/'can't do (they're not dictators) and congress and all that.
But, you never know, if a black person gets to be president, the white people might get paid back for all that stuff all our ancestors did and went through hundreds of years ago!
