The Rose Room *** November 6th

     Good morning everyone.

    Another sleepless night here.

I thought I opened yesterday's post at 3 A.M. but for some reason it never posted.  Unlike Tango when I am awake most of the night I get nothing accomplished.

    Good morning!

I slept better than I thought I would! Yippiee!! I wish I could share my energy with all y'all! You have no idea what it's like to have to do something all the time?? I get like I'm obsessed, possessed I can't sit still for 5 minutes! Yesterday I was supposed to put a whole bunch of computer parts( like 30) on EBay for Susan I did 6??? I can't concentrate on one thing my brain is going 500 miles a minute! And ya would think with all this energy I'd be stick thin??? What's up with that?? LOL

Hope all y'all have a great day!!

Oh Dori I did read about using Tang or Lemonaid Koolaide, but I used what I had, didn't want to run to the store at 5am!!

    Good morning.

Maizey sorry you didn't sleep last night. Just so you know I slept for you but had to get up to early. LOL

Tango I would like some of that energy also. Never have been that kind of person.

Jeanne hope you are doing okay. How about Doug??

Off to have coffee and then get ready for work.

Oh yeah Wade left to go to a friends house last night and I ended up with Cheyan in my lap like a little kid. she put her head on my chest and went to sleep. This is no lap dog but she doesn't know it. They are going to Wade's exFIL'S fri.  Wade will leave Sun. I will miss all three of them.

    Good Morning!

Boy did we have a big rain storm during the night...we sure needed it. Today is much cooler...should only get to 72* today!

Lynn, I know how hard it is when they leave...we wait so long for them to come home to visit then dread the time they will leave. I am so excited for Christmas to get here so we can have both girls home....but I know that will end as soon as it starts...Tiffany will only be home for 9 days...but it is better then nothing!

My neighbor called and asked if she could come over and talk about 4:30....I guess she was just lonley....well ,she was still here when hubby walked in from work about 6:00 and I didn't start dinner, so hubby suggested we all go out to dinner....she said she would only go if we let her pay...she feels she owes us so much for always beong here for her!! It was a nice time and a good meal!! Tonight I will make the beef stir fry that I was going to make last night!

I am off to work, then home to vacuum and dust...fun, fun, fun!!!!

    .....it is WHAT it is.....

HI - I woke up to thunder boomers and lightning - but now just rain.  Not as hard as earlier.  It's just getting light out, it was so dark with the rain.

Dinner tonight with the gals from the old neighborhood - that's always fun.

Diana. do you think I should put my sandles away now?  I did once, but got them out again when it got so warm.  You know how I hate giving them up for the winter!

Morning y'all.  How is everyone today?  In case you missed it I started a blog: www.flourgirlpip.blogspot.com  there is a pumpkin cheese cake recipe on there today.

Jane- I never put my sandals away.  I even wear flip flops in the snow sometimes.

Jeanne- My neck of the woods is fine right now.  We are having awesome weather...temps in the 70s and only in the 40s at night..but that is going to come to an end soon.

Tango- I'm kind of like that I always so that I'm not a "do-er of nothing"

My dentist is having a patient appreciation reception at the country Club in december.  I think I might go for a bit.  Shoot, I spend enough money at his office, I deserve an hors doeurve (sp?) and some punch.

I've got stuff to do.  TTYL

Lynn - How sweet with Cheyenne!

Jane - Luckily it is still warm enough here for sandals.  I would say that if you still have the occasional worm afternoon---keep them out to sun those tootsies!

Pat - It is nice that Tiffany can get that long off to come home.  Those days are just around the corner for us with Brittany.

Yesterday I was on the way to set up for my friend's husband's surprise party when I got pulled over.  Had no idea what I had done.  Sean's car has been in the garage since he left for college and I was so glad to have something to drive when the van died that I didn't even notice that his inspection sticker had expired.  Luckily the officer let me off with a warning when I explained what happened.  But I was so nervous about getting pulled over again that I only had iced tea at the party. LOL  First thing this morning after I get the girls to school I am getting that car inspected!

Dianae, looks to be a beautiful day here today!!!  I would have freaked if I got pulled over...thankfully he let you go with a warning!!!

Jane, I put all my sandals up on the shelf in my closet...of course I AM still wearing them....with temps in the 80's who wouldn't it??

Off to work in 15 minutes......

    Hi Rosies!

Didn't get here yesterday.  Had to work daycare all day.  Then went and watched Hayden for a while and after that, had a meeting at church to discuss the Christmas breakfast.  With the time change, I'm a bit off.  Want to go to bed earlier than usual but it doesn't always happen.

Amy, I checked out your blog and it's cool!  You and C&B have done good.

Pat, hopefully DS#2 got his plane reservations made to come home for Christmas.  Guess the fares right now are looking good.  He's only going to be home for at most 2 weeks as he has to get back to work.  I know he's looking forward to coming home and seeing Hayden.  We have to keep him updated regularly with pictures.

Hugs to all.  Have a great Thursday!~~~Laura

    Good morning everyone.

Kelly's Mission:  In the entrance area we are to grab all those shoes, books, jackets and anything else that gets left by the front door and put them away.

Jeanne - It was Roma's DH that couldn't find his coat at the resturant.

    Maizey - I'm with you.  If I don't sleep, I don't function.  Tongue Tied

Tango - Can't blame you for not wanting to run to the store at 5am!

Lynn - LOL at Cheyan being a "lap dog".  Big Smile

Pat - That was nice of your neighbor to buy your dinner.

Jane - If you put the sandles away it might just bring back some warm weather for you.  Keep your fingers crossed.  lol

Dianae - Glad the office let you off.  That reminds me, my car is due in Nov. and I need some minor work done on it before I take it in.

Diana - We got some pretty heavy rain overnight.  Guess what you are getting today will be here in a few days.

Tango - That was a nice surprise.  They usually get everything off them.

Off to the grocery store, drug store and post office.  TTYL

    Have a good day.

    Good morning, Roses!

I'm so unhappy about waking at an early hour that I'm not going to start cleaning drawers or closets at 3:00AM.  Usually I turn on the tv or read.  Have had a few sleepless nights lately but usually I sleep pretty well.

Pat, will be calling you a little later so be ready to put the vacuum away for a few minutes! How nice of your neighbor!  That was really thoughtful.

I called the restaurant yesterday and the coat didn't turn up.  It was raining really hard so I suppose someone needed to keep dry.  I don't think it's going to turn up. I am so ready for some sunshine. It's been raining really hard too.

I'm so glad you were pulled over by a really nice p.o., Dianae.  I think they realize that stuff happens and when they see such a nice lady they know they don't have to throw the perverbial book!  We don't have inspections in our county but the town we drive through to get to Portland does. I expect someone will realize there's revenue out here to be had so we'll have to do that one of these days. It just seems like such a scam when cars for so many years have smog controls, etc on them. Another way to grab a buck I guess.

Had a great class last night.  I just love this group of kids. They seem to be so excited and eager. I know a lot of it is their age...third graders and that is really such a neat time. They are young enough to really like school but not old enough to be unruly and smart a$$.

How's the knitting coming along, Rebecca?  I'm still trying to finish my afghan.  Wish I hadn't made it so big.  It's now a chore instead of fun.  Rats!

OK, what's this Narrator thing that is now on my puter?  I hit a couple of keys together and now I have this bar at the bottom.  Don't know what it's for.  I should take computer lessons one of these days.  I could be dangerous if I ever knew what I was doing.

    See you all later....

    0000000xx

LOL on the blue film Tango.  Sounds like something I would do.

Roma - Sorry they didn't find your coat.  I hope it turns up.

Got Sean's car inspected first thing this morning and now it is "legal;" to drive again.  I am so glad the officer was understanding.  Apparently our police never let someone off with a warning.  I am sure if Sean had been driving it would not have happened...and would have cost us $200.  Guardian angel was definitely looking after me.

Good news!  I had applied for a grant for resource materials for my program and today I got a letter saying that we were awarded the grant!  $13,000 for computers, books, videos and other resource materials!  I am so excited...pop the champagne!!!!!  We get the check next month. :)
