Hi ya' Suz!  Loved the e-mail!  Sent it to my niece, and she loved it, too!  I want one for each room of the house!

Nobody home?  I will be back late--after everyone here is in bed!  Nephew is cooking steaks on the grill, and we'll be eating!  Then lemon meringue pie for dessert!

Hello, all. (well the one? that is here)

I am going to try tonight to make a list of you people and where you are so I can try and figure everybody out. I'll probably go back to last night's post to see what I can find out about you all.

(gee, you all  -  I must sound like some kind of "southerner" instead of a northern canuck!

Hi Suzie and I guess hi and bye to Bonnie,

I just got home from cards and I should have stayed home all evening.  The cards were horrible tonite but not bad enough to win booby prize

I have to be up early and at the club house by 8 again tomorrow.  This month we have meetings every Wed. a.m., it'a that time of the year for budget and election.

    Hi Echo,

I'm here and I don't know about Bonnie.

What do you want to know about me--I'm a pretty open book and I gab a lot.  Just ask and I can tell you quite about all of the gals on here.

Dog  Hi Beth & Echo...  Bonnie will be back..  she had to go enjoy her scrumptious meal.  Echo I live in Central Wisc.  Beth what kind of cards do you play??  I used to play a LOT of cards when my kids were home.  We used to sit up most of the weekend playing Rummy or Canasta.  My hubby tried to teach me a game called Yuker a couple of weeks ago with his friends.  I just could not catch on....  (stupid game)

I will have to get up early also.  Meeting the girls for our shoppping trip at 8:30.  We are driving to Appleton.. which is a little over an hour from here.  So not sure how long I will be on tonight.

Suzie, wish I was close enough to play yuker witn your dh and his friends, love the game.  tonite it was 500 we played and Thurs. is is Phieffer.  But I will play just about any kind except poker or bridge.  Just can't the knack of those two.  I would play 7 nites a week if I could find enough people to play with.

Your day sounds better than my day.  After our meeting I'm heading for the Salvation Army.  I was headed that was today but stopped to talk to a gal here in the park and it got to late to go. I have 3 garbage bags of clothes to give them.  Things I have worn in 2 or 3 years and probably would never wear again.

Dog  I probably would have caught on...  but his friends were more interested in showing off their skills of the game..  rather than teaching me the basics of what it was all about.  Hey at least I know how to deal the cards out on that one HA HA.  Yah... then they proceeded to tell me about Pheiffer & how it is similar but ...blah blah blah.  Hey I can't learn 2 games in one night.  Hubby would really like you!!!  A Yuker player...  that was a surprise.. I was sure you were going to say WTH is that?  Which was pretty much my reaction because I never heard of it before.

    My list of the "Hooters"

    Nickname Name St/Prov

    ALICE05PLAYER Alice BC

    azbonnie Bonnie Arizona

    char3bc Charlene BC

    kamimerk Kim

    Montevideo Beth Texas

    ms__gehrke Paulette Minnesota

    paulababy Barb Arkansas

    SuzieQ2 Suzie Wisconsin

So how did I do? Probably missing some people but then I haven't been here to long. I will print out the list so that when I'm here I can relate to you a bit more.

What do I know about most of you. Not too much. Know about Char (She likes to talk so we find out lots about her LOL) Alice lives south of me (a couple of hours south). I know that Barb in Arkansas is a rice grower (interesting info as I didn't know that rice was grown in the USA) Know that Bonnie recently lost her husband after a lengthy illness. So a few others will have to fill in the blanks.

NIbbling on that poppy seed loaf. Boy is it good. It is so moist.

We used to play that on Sunday nites here at the clubhouse but for some reason it wasn't started again last year.  The only difference is that we spelled it differant-Eurce.  You can maybe find it on the computer to play but the rules are a little bit differant..  I play cards on the puter a lot, not for money tho, just fun.

Do you play Spades?  We play that when the 6 of us get together.

Suzie, you started the post around 9 PM your time (7PM my time). Is this about the usual time for the start up. I can relate to your time as I lived in Manitoba (central time) and I  think you are in the same time zone.

Kim is in New Jersey and is head cook at a Catholic school.

Bonnie's MIL lives with her and has for about 10 years.  She is legally blind and they just got a dog who piddles where it feels like it wants to. LOL

Char has the greatest hunk of a husband!!!  I've seen pictures of him but he's so young.  I think Char is the youngest of all of us.  I have grandkids almost as old as she is.

I lived in Minnesota until 1995 when my dh got transferred to fort Worth, Tx for work.  We fell in love with Tx and when he retired we started coming way down to the bottom of Tx for the winters and then got tired of running two places and sold out up there and bought a nice house in a retirement park and stay here for 11 months of the year.  I think I might be the oldest one here, I'm 71. and have a huge family.  3 kids, 13 g.kids and 3 ggkids. Plus some in laws hanging around.

Will let you read this then give some more informationl

Oh and they grow rice in Mn. also.

Dog  Echo you did great...  you forgot to put on yourself.  There is another gal Rochelle...  she lives in the South somewhere.  Beth probably remembers.  She comes on once in a blue moon.  I know one night a while back we all posted our Birthdays.  We will have to do that again..  I know I did not write them down as I had just started posting & really didn't "know" anyone very well.

Bonnie & I bonded very quickly because I could relate to what she was going through with her hubby.  I lost my 1st hubby to cancer 4 1/2 years ago.
