    Happy Friday everyone!

Well, the splint stays on for another week but I'm supposed to start taking it off a couple times a day to bend and stretch my finger so the joint doesn't lock up.

Laura- It is a struggle to cook. I've been making things that take little effort and heat and eat kinds of stuff.  Last night I made brats and pierogies and called it good.

Mare- I had been wondering where you were.

Pat- Woo Hoo!  $35!  how fun.

It's Friday and I'm nosy...Do you have your Christmas shopping started or done yet?

I went to Kohl's yesterday and knocked out everyone on my list except for 2 people and wrapped everything while we watched TV.  I start back at Block at the beginning of December and y time to get anything done will be limited so I wanted to start early.

Good Morning Ladies -  First of all, gas yesterday was $1.67 and $1.76.  I was going to wait till today to fill for my trip, but stopped for a loaf of bread, and deceided to do it then.  I figured I couldn't use that much today, just going to work - - and it was one less thing I had to do today.

Cook, I just figured out why I don't have that new list - I remembered now, that I accidently deleated it, before I realized it was you, and now your address is blocked for me.  When I realized it was you, it was too late.  I just deleated everything I had in my email this morning, not intending to - - I must slow down!  The good thing is, I will have room while I'm gone. I will just work off my old list, and ask questons if I have them - I guess.  And yes, you have the right addie.

Gotta run - started to pack last night - if I don't get back, I wish all of you a wonderful Thanksgiving.

    Good morning everyone.

    Kelly's Missions for Thursday:

Make a list of the things you are running low on in the bathroom; shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste etc. You know what you use.

5 min. Rescue for the Kid's room(s): Spend 5 mins. tossing the trash and putting things away. No Kids? Choose another room.

    Kelly's Mission for Friday:

We are working our way down to the floor.  Today we are going to do the baseboards.  They get dusty, the bathroom steams up and the dust turns to mud.  If you have not done this in a while just do one wall at a time.  Be creative: If you have kids, do it while they are bathing or have the kids clean the baseboards; they are shorter, then put them in the tub.  Make a game of it.  Give them a spray bottle or squirt gun with just water in it.  Making it fun will get the job done.

5 min. Rescue for your Craft/Project area:  Set a timer and start tossing the trash and putting things away.  No Craft/Project area?  Choose another room.

Fluffy - Nice to see you back and posting.

Pat - Congrats on the $35.00 win!  That's always a nice addition to a fun evening out.

Eva - Nice to see you.  To darnnnnn cold here to but we had nice weather up till about 4 days ago and I guess I'm just not ready for it yet.

Gas is $1.77 9/10 here.  So nice to fill the tank the other day and only pay $23.00.

Amy - Sorry you didn't get the splint at least changed to something smaller but stretching and bending sounds good.  Lock up does not!  I still have 1 thing to pick up for SIL and I'm waiting for a delivery.  Started wrapping and will get back to that maybe later...like after my meeting today.  I also have to get back to the cards.  I try to get to Kohl's a few times a month, more durring my "Holiday shopping" season.  They run some great sales.

Jane - Back at ya!  Have a wonderful trip and great time with DD.  Happy Thanksgiving!

Yesterday after the Dr. appt. I brought DH to work then ran out for parts for them.  Had a very nice lunch with the girls then stopped back at the shop before going home.  DH came with me.  Nothing got done here yesterday and I even did an abbreviated morning routine.  As I mentioned before, today I have a meeting starting with brown bag lunch at noon and usually over around 3.  It may be later today because we are taking part in a Christmas sale at the Danish Home on 12/6 and I think things may need to be priced.  Not sure if they are going to do that today or not.

    Gotta run, Laundry is calling...

    Have a wonderful day.

Dori- Kohls is my favorite store!  I bought Christmas gifts for 6 people, 2 small little just becuase gifties for my sisters, a pair of shoes for myself and a T shirt and gloves for Shawns son and only spent $215.   I thought I did good.  Alot of the stuff I bought for the kids as 60% off.

Jane- I do that with some of my e mails, too.

Can someone please send me the Christmas Card address list?  I can't find mine.

Pip, I have started my Christmas shopping. I'm pretty well along for the grandkids; but nothing for anyone else.

The TV is up and running. Great picture; but I wish we had more HD channels.

I made a couple of pumpkin breads while waiting for the delivery and installation. The house smells like Thanksgiving. I might make a couple of cranberry bread today or tomorrow. I just went out to my freezer in the garage remembering it doesn't freeze well in cold weather. Sure enough my ice cream was like mush. I have my freezer in the house already chock-a-block so this is a problem. Guess we'll be eating Ben& Jerry's and Haagen Daz for lunch and dinner. I have a lot of other stuff in there thawing. Makes me mad at myself I should have remembered sooner.

    Good Morning Rosies,

I am babysitting the little one and she just went down for a nap. I actually drove up here yesterday bacause of the weather predictions... It got down into the mid teens last night with snow flurries, so I decided to drive yesterday afternoon and spend the night :) With it down in the mid teens I really hate the thought of making the trip at 5 am the coldest part of the night!!

I filled up yestreday for $173. a gal.... Woo Hoo... I am making pumpkin bread for TG at Jamie's request.. I'll bet your home smells "Delicious" this morning Maizey!

Amy, Christmas shopping is Almost done... I am being very conservative this Christmas tho and practical which makes it easier for me anyway...

Pat, congrats on the win at Bunco last night :)

    Jane, I resent :)

Thanks Cook.  I love practical gifts.  I wish more people would think of that when they buy for me.  This year I am giving one person a coffee maker because theirs is slower than molasses in january, and another person is getting a hand held steamer and microfiber cleaning cloths, my kids get gasoline gift cards, shawn is getting tools, so it's fairly simple for me too.

What was that toy where the kids could see themselves dancing on TV? I can't find that post.

Your welcome Amy. I agree especially the way the economy is now, that practicle gifts are the way to go and not to over spend...

Jeanne called that a "Dance Cam" Maizey. Sounds like something all of our little ones would like :)
