    Good Morning Rosies,

We finally turned the heat on last night ....it was 57* IN the house!! Should warm up outside today to at least the 60's!

I am actually heading to work this morning...the Manager asked me to work today and tomorrow, and I told her NO for Sunday, but I would go in today!

I need to be there in an hour and I am sitting here in my warm comfy flannel pj's!! I better get in the shower!!!

There's a big Pot of Coffee Brewing...anyone want some??? Who has the baked goods to go with it??

    .....it is WHAT it is.....

    Good morning!

We turned our heat on yesterday too.  DN got back from her one month class and she said Galveston is still devastated.  The hospital where she was going to school is firing over 2,000 people because they just can't maintain service and not much is habitable on the island.  She will be staying with us while she is out doing interviews for her residency next year.  Strange how we still hear about post Kartrina NOLA, but not a word in the media about Galveston.

I have turkey wings in the oven for make ahead gravy...kitchen smells yummy! Next to go in is the cranberrry sauce.

    Have a great day Rosies!

    Hi Rosies!

It cool and wet here today.  Really hoping for a dry T-Day and after.  DS#4 will be completing his Eagle Scout project next weekend.  DH is on his way to CA, DS#3 went to Seattle, so it's just me and DS#4 home.  He went to a brunch at the home one of his church teachers today, so I stopped at Safeway and picked up a sandwich for lunch.  Going to try and get my T-Day groceries bought today.  I'm sure the store will be very busy.

Hugs to all.  Have a great Saturday!~~~Laura

Jeanne, we are going to my daughter, Lisa's house for Thanksgivng again this year. The turkey she made last year with Indian (not native) spices is the only one her DH wants to eat. I must say it was very good last year. I will be making Lila's favorite dish of corn pudding and bringing cranberry bread and a pumpkin cheesecake, homemade cranberry sauce and whatever else she would like me to bring.

It is so darn cold here I dread getting up for church in the morning; but Bill says I have to.

    Good Evening Buds,

Jeanne, yes Steve will be off for TG plus a few extra days (vacation days.) We are going to Jamie's inlaws for the day. I am bringing pumpkin bread (at Jamie's request) a large salad with a balsamic vinegarette and a cheese ball & crackers. Oh and of course a bottle of wine ;)!  Sounds like it is as cold by you as it is here!! Brrrrrrrr. We are expepecting a heat wave tomorrow with a high in the mid 40's!! Woo Hoo!! Can't wait to see the  pics of the "Branson Babes!" LOL!

Steve & I went to the casino this afternoon. Had a great time with a table of nice people, playing blackjack. Lost but still had a nice time. We stopped at Chili's on the way back for a late supper and a Margarita ~

Maizey, Lisa's turkey with the Indian spices sounds really interesting! I'll bet it's delicious...

MaryAnn, good to hear you're doing well!

Past my bed time here. Good night ~~~

Re: The Rose Room *** Saturday Nov. 22rd

It was only 45 degrees here today and windy.  Went to 2 craft shows and purchased a few stocking stuffers.  I have had a job interview, the guy called me and wants me to come and work next weekend the hours I would work.  My concern is two transfers, one into the hot tub every morning and the other to the toilet.  He is 74 and has muscular dystrophy.  So pray this will work.  It means a major salary.  And I can really use it to pay off some hospital bills, etc from two years ago.

Church tomorrow.   One of our retired ministers (84 years old) went for his daily walk on Friday, he passed out and died before they could get to the hospital.  He died doing what he loved I guess.  He has 4 daughters with family.

Weather is good in California but cool so hubby should not have a problem traveling, 4boys.  I would suspect some major traffic with the holiday coming.

CBW, glad you will have some extra time with family.

Maizey, hope your plans for Thanksgiving is good.  Do not know for sure what I will be doing yet.

Fluffy, Hoos, and others how are you doing?

    Catch you all tomorrow.
