Dawn - I can honestly say that there hasn't been a recipe from Ree's site  www.thepioneerwoman.com  that I have made that wasn't fantastic.

The next one I am going to try is Pasta ala Vodka - it is on the menu for tomorrow night. and I might possibly try to talk CM into making Cinnamon Rolls w/ me on Saturday.

Trying to pop in very quickly. Have to get dressed for work in a second. Not sure how because I haven't managed to do any extra exercise other than working at the stations and staging mail a few hours a day, but managed to lose a bit more (about a pound and a quarter, which is fairly good for me--I'm not real fast). Trying to get back to where I was in June by the time I get to the pulmonology appointment sometime in January I hope (which is about 6 more pounds. I know I can do it if I behave myself and stay away from too many sweets. Reducing the amounts and balancing them does seem to be helping me not get that sugar spike and dip, so I feel a lot better anyway. Have a great day everybody. Will try to get back on here before Christmas and wish everybody a Merry Christmas.

    Good Morning Healthy Ones!

Sherry, you are doing great, keep up the good work. My oldest sister stays away from sweets completely and it works for her. I don't like giving them up completely though. lol

    Safe travels Dusta!

Sorry I can't chat long- I am off to Miss Nancy's and then have a week off for C'mas so that is nice- she leaves town tomorrow to her son and DDIL that lives in N.VA.

    Have a healthy day Everyone!

     Happy Friday~!!!!  Party!!!

Ginny - I'll have to check out the site, thank you!!!  This was posted, with changes, on another board. I made it with the woman's changes (as I have it typed). I didn't realize it was from Ree. I feel really dumb now Hmm

Muril - have a great day with Miss Nancy!

Dusta - have a safe trip!!

    Sherry - good job! ((((hugs))))

yesterday I brought the gifts into day care for the 4 teachers - hot chocolate mix and double chocolate toffee cookies. This morning one of the teachers didn't say a word, just came up & hugged me LOL!!! Said she loved the gift, all of them did, and everything was delicious. That was exactly what I wanted to hear :-)

we had the veggie pizza last night. Turned out really good! I stopped by Harris Teeter (our grocery store) on the way home yesterday - they have crab legs on sale for 4.99/lb. Very cheap! I bought some & that will be dinner tonight, with fresh bread & beer :-)

I pulled something in my back yesterday, I feel it right between my shoulder blades. Seems like it affects everything - head, neck, arm movement, can't even bend over without feeling it. I took one of the super strength motrin I still have from my c-section. It helped a little, but it still hurts a lot. If this doesn't clear up over the weekend I'll see the doctor monday.  Had a hard time carrying samantha in that car seat this morning :-(

    enough of my whining!

hope everyone has a great day! If I don't get back on here today, have a wonderful weekend~!

    dawn

Good Morning from a rainy Indiana - this crazy weather is NUTS!!  At least it's not frozen - yet.

Got the Bobber home last night - he was a little out of it - they said the anestetic (sp) can take 24 hours or so to get out of his system - he was hungry so I gave him a can of food and that seemed to make him happy - other that that he just walked around with a dazed and confused look - lol.  I wanted to get a good look at his teeth but I figured I'd better wait till tonight to try that.

    ((Jolene))

    ((Jen))

Dusta - Safe travels today - hope it is an uneventful trip home.

Muril - Enjoy your day with Miss Nancy.

Ginny - I've seen that Pioneer Woman website before - a friend showed me but I keep forgetting to look at it - seems to me to be the type that I could spend hours on.  Very neat.  Have fun with the cinammon rolls.  Smile

Sherry - Great job on the loss!!  Keep up the good work and I'm sure you will be at your goal by the doctors appointment.

Dawn - So glad the ladies at the daycare enjoyed the gifts - of course they were from you, how could they not??  That pizza sounded so good to me - I'm gonna try that sometime when DH has something else going on, cause he would never eat it - lol - doesn't know all the good stuff he's missing.

    Waving to all,

    Michele

Welp I'm stuck at home today! It took Dustin a good 10 minutes just to get the front door open! We got mostly sleet and some snow on top of that. I'm supposed to have a bunch of packages delivered today I feel sorry for the UPS/FedEx guy that has to try to make it up our drive way!!

Michele - I"m so glad I don't have a picky dh ~ I don't know how you do it LOL!!! He'll eat, or at least try, anything I put in front of him.

Jen - stay warm & inside :-)  This is the time of year you would hate to do deliveries for a living - not only are the fedex/ups guys busy, but the weather does NOT help!!!

we are warm here - supposed to be in the upper 60's. And rainy. It was really foggy again this morning - so foggy you couldn't see walmart from the road. You know that's bad - their parking lots are lit up pretty good Big Smile

    Hello everyone!

I agree Michele....this weather is NUTS! Its at least 50 degrees outside! Indifferent I think that northern Indiana got blasted though...I have given up on the idea of a white Christmas! LOL

Last night I went to a school Christmas program that lasted forever! It was at least 2 hours long! I felt sorry for the kids.....having to talk and sing that long! Needless to say I got absolutly nothing done last night. I wanted to get to bed early because of working all day today, and of course dh didn't want me to sleep last night! LOL He is on duty for lunch today, so it will be intresting what he comes up with. :) I might be running to McDee's later!

Muril hope you have a good day with Miss Nancy!

Dawn hope your back gets to feeling better!

Jen just stay in bed today and take it easy! LOL

Ginny *giggling* about the Cabela's nightie's! :) That sounds cute!  How are your girls doing with CM?

Well I need to get busy....

    Waving to everyone I missed!

Good Afternoon!   Things here are screwy! Its rainy and warmer, sunny and colder, then clear and ICY. and the hills to the east of town have a big layer of SNOW. I know I don't have a lot of room to complain, but really could I just get some weather stability here??????

Girls are going w/ their Dad tonight and I'll get them back on Christmas Eve. At least I'll be able to get all of the wrapping done! Not sure what CM has planned for this weekend - he did say that he'd like to reserve a bunch of my time!!!

Have to get back to work - I'll try to check in later!Ginny

    Good Saturday Morning!

Yes, I was so right, I was at Miss Nancy's all day...lol, but I expected it- especially as soon as I woke her up, she says, we have to shop for a gift....MY Lands, I thought we were finished. lol We managed to get everything done and I am not even sure how many times I went to the Lobby yesterday- it is wonderful exercise down several long hallways. And we managed to find time for lunch at Paneras. :) She is leaving this morning at 10ish to go to the country for C'mas and I am so enjoying my week off already. lol

WE have our dress rehearsal this morning at 10 and the program is tomorrow at 10.

Dusta, are you all tuckered out from the trip? Have you started the applesauce cake yet? :)

Ginny, Have fun gift wrapping and enjoy your weekend.

Dawn, Hope you are feeling better from your shoulder blade muscle injury. You did great with the teachers! Yeah.

Michele, glad Bopper is doing well! :)

Jen, enjoy your iced in weekend and take care of you. :)

Jet, wow, that is really long for a children's program. Bet they were getting a little antsy at the end. LOL

Off for a quick B'fast and then to the dress rehearsal.  Have a lovely Saturday Everyone!

It's cold here! 11 inches of snow yesterday, that closed down most of Michigan. And an accident (I think) at a local factory caused the place I teach yoga and gymastics to be without power. We were supposed to have a Christmas pageant today, too! :sad face:

Off to warm up cold toes. (Sitting for an hour in negative weather freezes the toes!)

Many wishes for a blessed day!

The week flew by!  I went to school Monday and then came down with a migraine for the rest of the day and Tuesday.  The student I was tutoring had finals this week so I was trying to explain math up thru Thursday night.  Mom wanted to see the Christmas lights on the local trolley.  We had snow, but by the time I got home it was to dark, windy & cold to shovel.  DF broke the belt on our treadmill so I'm not sure what we will do.  I still have school Monday & Tuesday this coming week.  Planing on doing odds & ends and resting.

Wishing all a warm & safe weekend!

I clicked on reply and it said I had to log in, haven't done that since forever.

I have not done anything!!!! Started to make the cake yesterday and didn't have eggs or sugar. Went to WM this morning for those 2 things and spent $100+ and I am to go back to get the things that it is too early to buy.

Suppose to get down in the teens tonight. OH BOY!

    All have a nice weekend!
