    Mini Hot Dogs 'n' Meatballs

Hot appetizers don't come much easier than this recipe from Macedon, New York's Andrea Chamberlain. “It always vanishes in minutes whenever I serve it,” she notes. “In fact, it's so popular I usually double the recipe if I have a larger crock pot.“ TIP: “With this versatile recipe, you can vary the meats to suit your family's tastes, or increase the heat factor by using a spicier barbecue or spaghetti sauce,” Andrea suggests. Serve with fancy party picks.

Do you join them with toothpicks before cooking or just throw it all in there? This sounds really good and easy, but I'm looking for an app. that I can just walk in with. I'm attending a party and the host is cooking a full sit-down for a hefty group. I don't want to take up any more space in the kitchen;)

I would suggest to take something else.  This app will need to stay heated and take up space.  I would suggest maybe crab filled endive leaves.  You can make them at home, put them on a platter and pass at the table or pass before the meal. They are really very good and VERY easy to make.
