Daily Low Carb Chat Dec 29

Good morning, all. Hope you had a lovely weekend!

    ( Umm...no, that probably isn't my post about a chocolate fountain...probably another someone named Albany...Embarrassed  )

Well, I'm trying to get plans firmly in place for Wed. night...I'm off to 2 events today- one @ 2:00 and another @ 5:30...in the meanitme I have to shop for my senior and get my shopping list finalized. Just to add to the confusion, I dropped off my car today after it was making funny noises yesterday...yup, I have time for this...Tongue Tied

Along with the multitude of appetizers, we'll have a lasagna- made with Dreamfields penne- so you don't need a knife to cut the noodles with- we'll have it all hot and ready at 7:30, then put it into our thermos-bag carrier and it'll stay piping hot until we want it later...this'll free up the oven for snacks, etc.

That was another one of my QVC buys...I was so surprised to see Bob Bowersox leave last week...still no "real" info as to whether he left, or was fired, or what...too bad...I liked him. I hope all goes well for him. Funny how you get comfortable with someone you don't even know...huummm sounds a bit like us, doesn't it? Wink

Well, I hope you have a moment to stop in...but if you don't, that's OK...we'll just hope to see you soon!

    Have a great day.

Hello Margaret, Whow you are one busy lady and now one busy lady without a car. Hope it is jsut an easy thing to fix and not expensive.

I was having coffee this morning after feeding the birds, I throw a hand full of seed on our picnic table twice a day. Then a very large Hawk flew down from no where and tried to pick up a Dove that was feeding on the seed, They both banged into the patio window and the Hawk dropped the Dove and they both flew off. One time I saw a Hawk pick up a Squirrel in a field it was about 6 feet high when it dropped him, And the squirrel kept on running.

We have to take scooter back to the vet today he just isn't getting better, So Iam off and running.

    Hugs to all, Ann

    Good Morning Margaret and Ann,

Margaret I would like to know if your insulated bag is like the one from Sam's Club as I have one of those. I'm wondering how long that would keep something hot and do you put anything else into help keep it hot, such as a warming stone? You get the good idea prize for today. Yes

Ann I'm glad the dove got away from the hawk. We all know these things happen but don't necessarily want to watch it. How are you doing with the flooding? Roger said DesPlaines was flooding, hard to believe that we could be having this at the beginning of winter what will spring be like?

I need to call my dentist and see if he can squeeze me in I lost a crown over the weekend. He was my neighbor for years and a nice man but I don't like seeing him because it always costs me a fortune and I hate having anything in my mouth other than food. Big Smile

    Have a wonderful day.

    Carol

Hi ladies!  Well, I finally took the bull by the horns and went to the gym to work out.  Thirty minutes on the treadmill and 10 minutes on a bike.  It's not as much as I need to be doing, but I've been out of it quite a while now and I could really tell!  Hopefully I'll be back on track now.

Tomorrow my husband and I leave for a few days in Florida.  We will be in Naples and have a few fun things planned, like an Eco Tour of the Everglades.  I'm looking forward to some fresh seafood!  We'll have a laptop with us, so I hope to check in occassionally.

Have a good day.  Looks like 2009 is just around the corner!

    Hi-

Ann...hope you made out Ok at the vets...we do love our animals don't we? Glad that dove got away. I saw a cat get a squirrel last year...I was so mad!

Connie- good for you- getting to the gym! Now, go south and get some sun! Do have a great time...think of us when you're on the beach reading some trashy novel and drinking margaritas...Wink

Carol- I don't plan to do anything special to this thermos bag thing...it's supposed to keep it hot- or cold- I do hope it works as advertised! It is kind of a nice one- with handles to hold a flat casserole dish, or carry like a grocery bag. I'll let you know more about it when I bring it upstairs.

Well, home between events...next one will be the Christmas dinner with my gal friends- we do birthday dinners and this one...my teacher friends...

See you all...stay warm, safe, cozy and dry!

    Margaret
