    •  It has come to my attention, that some of you feel slighted because I don’t mention you every day.  And also this post has lost some of the warmth and caring it had when Tam was started this.  We have all been thro a lot together.  I feel we all love and miss the ones that either got mad and quit posting here, the ones that are not feeling up to posting right now, and also the ones that have crossed the bridge to the great beyond.

    • I am sorry that I don’t mention each one of you each and every day.  But there are times it takes my last ounce of energy to get this going.  Sometimes life gets in the way of posting.  I do know ya’ll have been there for me in some very trying times.  I have felt the love and warmth from you.  And I do love each and every one of you.

    • Please let me know by email, on here, or by a private message what you feel I could do to improve and I will try to incorporate it into my morning message.

    • Now I am going to shut up before I say more than I intend to because I am hurt over this but I am also furious.

    •
      Waves and hugs to all!!

OMG, who would have the nerve! Oh, I think I know.
Zora, you're doing a bang up job and we all, with obvious exception, appreciate it greatly. Emotional blackmail is the lowest form of attracting attention to oneself. Perhaps this person would like to take over and see if she can do a better job without demanding that everyone bows to her wishes? Or better still, start her own group and see how many people she attracts with this kind of attitude! We've all been through a lot, and been there for each other, but I guess the squeeky wheel demands and gets, the grease.

Now, I'm getting furious, too. You're doing a great job and we love you for it. And thank you.

(((((Zora))))) I agree...you are doing a wonderful job here. It's sad that not everyone agrees. I don't feel slighted in the least when my comments are missed. I'm just happy to visit and share in yours and everyone's lives a little. I don't visit every day, but whenever I can. When I don't visit or participate, it's a time factor, not because I'm peeved. I love this place! Please keep doing what you do and remember you are appreciated by most of us.  JP

-20.1*C or -4.2*F. It snowed most of today. DH will probably have to leave earlier in the morning to plow snow from the parking lot of his workplace.

I hope to get some more decluttering done at home this week as I don't have any more shifts...unless someone gets sick, of course.

(((ROSIE))) I hope Scott receives the quality support he needs and will be happy striking out on his own. It will be a big change for all of you.

Lois, that cranberry/strawberry jam sounds very yummy! Could I substitute raspberries for the strawberries...I've lots in the freezer. Please post the recipe for us.

Had to smile about the GF Grill, Mabel. I love mine. I don't use it a LOT, but I'd never get rid of it. Wish there was a recipe site to use it more. Cilla, what do YOU cook on the GF Grill?

Sending encouragement vibes to all who need them today}}}}}}}}there you go...

bedtime for this gal...DH is probably snoozing in front of the TV   JP

Zora, I ORDER you not to change a thing.  We all NEED you and you do a perfect job.  What I do n't need is some grouch.  I can't even tell you how much we appreciate what you do for all of us and what we all do for each other.  No one has to stay with us, but for all who do, count me in.  Nancy B

    Re: 01/08/08 CS's Chat

    Good Morning Everyone,

Zora, I can't imagine anyone criticizing all the work you do in opening for us each day.   You are doing a wonderful job, and I appreciate it so much.   This place has gotten me through some pretty rough days and I would miss it terribly if it weren't here.   Why doesn't that person come out in the open and voice her criticism here?

I fall very short in the department of responding to all.   Even when taking notes, after I click on [post], I always manage to think of something I should have said.   I do read all your posts and laugh or cry with each of you.

That said, I'll go back to my boring life....snow and ice is still on the driveway, I didn't go out of the house all day yesterday, even forgot to walk to the mail box to get my mail.

The bird that is the bad girl is KO-KO, I let her sit on my lap when I watch TV at night, now she wants to do it all the time.    I've started on the afghan, and my lap is no place for a bird!   It's knitted with double strands of yarn, and what fun she could have with that.   I've put new toys in her cage, but my lap is so much more interesting.   When she can't get to my lap, she starts ripping up paper to get my attention, and it usually works.   So I have reinforced her bad behavior, no bird-brain here, except for me!

Wishing you all a wonderful day,

    Mabel

    Good Morning Friends!!

    (((Rosie)))  (((Zora)))

Shame on whoever wrote you that email Zora!!  Don't change a thing!!

Off to the Health Park today, then to lunch with the water aerobics group.

Wishing you ALL a great day!

    Hugs,

    Good morning EVERYONE!

ZORA ~ Sorry to hear that you've gotten negative comments, but unfortunately  it's hard to  please everyone(no disrespect meant to anyone in that comment, just stating a fact). We all love to have individual comments made to us, and I love to give individual comments to others, but that is part of the reason I often don't get on here  very much when I work more as it takes a lot of time to post to each one and I'm always worried I will leave someone out and hurt feelings. I just enjoy getting in here, when time permits, and reading about what is going on in everyone else's day Smile . Thanks for taking the time to do this everyday as it seems to be a life-line to some.

MABEL ~ had to laugh at KO-KO. Are you sure she's not part dog wanting to sit on your lap everynight?

Waving to GRACE, JP, MARGARET, SSANDY, NANCY B, ANNE 'n Lit'l Bit(since she posts daily with you Smile ) and all others who pop in later today.

Not too much going on here today. Charlie is home with me again, and I just can't seem to accomplish all that much when he is, so I just try to enjoy his company and do whatever appeals for the day. I get a some things done when I get him down for his afternoon nap(smiling).

Hope all have  a really GOOD day. Hugs and prayers for those who need them.

    Jeane

    • Good morning EVERYONE!
    • Sorry, I'm not as sweet and kind as Zora is.  The door works both ways so don't let it hit you on the butt on the way out.  I would miss anyone that didn't stick around, but I never have "kept score" on friendships and certainly don't want to start now.....
    • Zora sets us up every morning with a smile, a prayer, some interesting facts and some comments.  Then and only then does she go to bed and she makes sure this place is humming 365 days a year.  She doesn't always have something to say to me, but then again I don't always have something to say to her either.  Big deal!
    • I'm sorry if you feel slighted, unless you are brand spanking new you know that the Cookin' Seniors do NOT play those games, instead we support each other, love each other, throw snowballs at each other, share our lives, our recipes, our up and our downs.  We also don't try to "stir the pot".  So grab a cup of coffee and come sit at the adult table and join us.
    • Movers will be here in a couple of hours...then it is off to San Antonio again.  Walt is working the Alamo so Scott and I will handle it.
    • Hugs and prayers to each of you, because YOU are loved.

Back again for a few minutes..

Wishing Scott all the happiness in his new home but then it will always be home where you and Walt are Rosie.

When you all were talking about rocks the other day reminded me of a nice pile of ones I had collected from many a state that I had in a pile to load on the moving van at the last minute when we moved from Chicago area to here in Mich many years ago.

It started to rain just before the movers finished up and we running late so John hustled me and the kids and dog and cat in to car and we took off.

Well half way from Chicago to Toledo I yelled "John, I forgot something", He looked at me and then looked around the car and said "we are all here"

". I said my rocks." Well I got the   "LOOK "  and needless to say we didn’t go back and all my rocks from ND Montana and Oregon coast line to name a few, are still there. Drat...

Well that's my bit of trivial for you all today.

See, I was even forgetful then. Ha Sandy

Zora, I have not read any other posts then your first one, how dare some one say or do any thing to make you feel like you leave anyone out or are nor doing a good job, you have done great this has always seems like a second family and you keep us going strong, and by the way Tam would be so proud of you on this.  there are times my name is not on here but that is ok cause when I post I can not remember who to mention you can not always list all our names that could take up a full post in it's own. any way I do not think it is far to attack you in any way, and I am sure others have posted already and will through out the day of what a great job you are doing, please hang in and know we (well most of us) love you and look forward to your starting our day,

    again you  are loved  ((((((Zora)))))))
