As others have said, they do freeze beautifully. The things to remember--don't mix flavors in the same bag/container; baked goods are best if kept no longer than 3 months in the freezer. Don't freeze cookies with a lot of egg--like meringues. And always defrost in the wrapping--if you unwrap them when they're frozen, they'll pick up condensation from the air and become soggy (picture the outside of your Iced Tea glass on a hot summer day).
But keep in mind, cookies, properly stored, keep for a long time at room temp. If you'll be using them within 4-5 weeks, there's no need to take up freezer space. Just put them in air-tight containers, and store at cool room temp, and they'll be fine for weeks. I used to work at a very expensive bakery. We made all the Christmas Cookies the Monday after Thanksgiving--they used NO preservatives of any kind, btw. We'd pack the cookies in cardboard box bottoms (only one flavor to a box, of course), slide the boxes in plastic bags, twist tie them closed and put them on shelves. I ate loads of those cookies right up until Christmas, and they were still perfectly fresh, and no one who paid the unbelievably high prices the place charged, complained about them, either.
