    Voting ends Monday, June 15 for the Taste of Home America’s Best Loved Recipe Contest. Cast your vote today and help decide which recipe-creator wins the $25,000 grand prize! The winner will be announced on Good Morning America on June 18, 2009.

    May I ask how the finalists were selected?  All of these dishes look far too gourmet for my family's tastes.  They seem so very different from the down-home-type recipes ToH used to publish.  They do not seem truly representative of the real-world preferences of the majority of American families, and so I'm quite curious as to how they've arrived at the top of the list for the purposes of this contest.

    I did not vote as I did not like any of the four recipes. I live in the South and we don't do many Italian or Asian dishes. Also, I am not familiar with mangoes so that one was out. Sorry.

    None of these recipes appeal to me either. I guess I missed this contest in the magazine, or was it just online?

    My family wouldn't eat any of those recipes and my pocket book couldn't afford the ingredients.  Sorry, I am not voting....

    It doesn't look as if the folks who put on this contest are intrested in explaining how they arrived at the top dishes. At least the site has plenty of recipes that do appeal to me.
