    Speaking of headlines

One of the ones on the charter.com homeplace is

NKorea ship suspected of carrying missiles

Is this going to be another "Weapons of Mass Destruction"?

N Korea will have to be bombed to stop this and keep us safe?

The same with Iran and the headlines about the unrest there, after the elections.

Remember all we were told about Iraq having WMD? And they didn't want the US searching for them, and every night the news would report where they had searched and NOT found them and where they were going to search tomorrow? (does this make sense, if they did have them they'd know where the US was going to search the next day!)

I try not to listen to or read the news, because I don't think there is anything I can do about it. But, I see it everywhere I go, even on the interent.

When and why did "news" start being every negative and BAD thing that happened, or might happen anywhere in the world?

Is this what the Town Criers used to do, in the old days? Report every disastor, beheading, or something the King MIGHT be going to do that wasn't good?

I believe the North Korea issue is a real and true danger.  I also believe, that depending on how we handle ourselves that Iran can become one also.  I don't like to live scared, but some of this stuff leaves me staring out into space wondering the worst.

Did you once believe Iraq had Weapons of Mass Destruction?

Actually, anything (anywhere) can be a danger. I wonder why a small country like N Korea would be doing this? Maybe they want to take over the USA and think now is a good time, when all the defense, forces, money and such is focused on Iraq.

Maybe they think it's not up to another country to tell them what they can or can't do?

I did listen to Colin Powell's report on the weapons held by Iraq -a well respected and educated man.  What a pity they used him in that matter.  I try very hard to be informed about what is going on.

The reason I believe that North Korea is a real and true danger is that their leader Lim Jong-il is mentally deranged.

Lets hope cooler heads prevail. I listened to the talk show's today and I cold smack some of these guys up side the head. We can,,,BUT we shouldn't stick are nose into places,,, it could get blown off. What would we of done if other country's came in when we were doing our hosing in Chicago and turning the dogs on people in the south, etc etc etc. One thing,,, some Americans don't seem to get is,,, every country thinks there the greatest in the world. Some times I wonder why we think we can dictate to other countries how they should be . We need to do alot of work here before we can tell everyone else they should be like us. People resent being told there wrong all the time just like us on this sight.
