Where to camp in the Okanagan??

DH really wants to head up to Terrace to catch some salmon (this weekend, his six year old nephew caught a 19 pound salmon in the river) but with river fishing, it all depends on the river and the fish.  So a secondary option is the Okanagan.  Which we havent visited in 4 years.  I'm wondering where you gals recomend.  I saw some pictures on facebook from EMC, wherever she was, it looked like our type of camping!  We love the provincial parks, because the sites are much more private and the cost is reasonable.  We would like a lake with a beach, and a playground if possible.  It doesn't have to be a provincial park though, but a nice family campground.  We love the Shushwap area, Vernon, that area.  Though we somtimes go down to Osoyoos and camp at the native campground, it's beautiful, right on the lake.

So, I need your recomendations ladies!

Hey, Char...we were at Scotch Creek on the backside of the Shuswap. It is lovely there, but as of this time of year, it is hard to get into.

Pretty much any provincial park in the Okanagan is hard to get into unless you have reservations.

This site will help you..no doubt. I don't know much about private sites.

A quick search shows that Fintry has an opening for this weekend if you want to reserve. It is on the west side of Okanagan Lake.
