Open for snail mail pen pals?

I just discovered this thread and I too would be delighted to see a snail mail/penpal group on here, there are many lovely people on TOH and getting "real" mail in their box instead of bills etc. would be wonderful, there are too many lonely people and this is one way to make more friends.

I just tested the Private Message feature (PM) with two other members just to confirm that everything is working properly. Both went through and both responded.

Can you try again and let me know if it's back to working for you? I'll also drop you a PM to see if it works... look for that shortly.

Hi all! My name is Lori and I am a 37 year old stay at home mom. I was a teacher for ten years, but once I started having kids, I decided to stay home and supplement our income as a freelance writer.  I have three kids ages 5, 19 months, and 7 months. Right now I live in California, but as a military wife (Hubby is now retired) I have lived all over this great country.  We officially call Pittsburgh home, but it will be a couple of years before we back there for good. I would love to have a penpal or two...or ten. :)

My interests are pretty varied. I love to garden, do crafts, take pictures, cook, bake, and I am teaching myself to sew. I am kind of stuck on sleeves and buttons, so lately my daughter is wearing a lot of jumpers that fasten with velcro. LOL

Nice to meet you Cindy. We have a house in South Fayette...11 miles from the heart of down town. We are only able to survive in California because of the NFL Sunday ticket and Fox Sports Pittsburgh! Even though we aren't in PA right now, we have to raise the boys on the Stillers! :)

How long do you have to stay in california? You said your hubby has something to do with the service? Write back when you can. Cindy

My husband is retired Air Force. Right now he is working for the Army, so we are in California for a while. Depending on how long this contract lasts it could be from 1 to 4 years.

You would have nice weather but I bet you miss the snow too.Do you get to come back to pa. often and is all your family here. Cindy
