China, glad your AC got fixed. I don't know if I could handle 93 degrees. Before we had AC in our trailer, I almost died. I'm not sure what DH, kids and I are doing for the 4th. My mom brought over some steaks so I could put them in my freezer, so we might be grillng at my parents house. I was thinking of making the cake on the first page of the site. It looks good.

Linda, the wind you had sounds like the wind here. DS has blown away in a grocery cart before. He thought it was funny but I didn't.

Hi Redawna, Marcie, Micki, Nancy, Pat and everyone to follow.

Today DD has dance practice and tomorrow is a recital in the park. So we're going to be on the run today. I've got to shower and get DS dressed. He really likes to run around the house naked. Hmm DH always gets upset with him and I just laugh.

Rachelle-A dance recital in the park-how lovely!!!! I wish I could come to watch, that sounds really fun.  Once a long time ago my dance company put on a show at the park and it was a blast.  I hope she has fun and does well Smile

     Sleeping Sickness

I awoke, only to find my lungs empty
Through the night, so it seems I'm not breathing
And now my dreams are nothing like they were meant to be
    And I'm Breaking Down
    I think I'm breaking down

And I'm afraid to sleep because of what haunts me
Such as living with the uncertainties
That I'll never find the words to say
    Which would completely explain
    Just how I'm breaking down

Someone come, Someone come and save my life
Maybe I'll sleep when I am dead
But now its like the night is taking up sides
With all the worries that occupy the back of my mind
Could it be? This misery will suffice

    (Gordon Downey Singing This Verse)
I've become, the simple souvenir of someone's KILL
Like the sea, I'm constantly changing from calm to ill
Madness fills my heart and soul
As if the great divide could swallow me whole
    Oh, how I'm breaking down

Someone come, Someone come and save my life
Maybe I'll sleep when I am dead
But now its like the night is taking up sides
With all the worries that occupy the back of my mind
Could it be? This misery will suffice

Someone come, Someone come and save my life

Someone come, Someone come and save my life

Someone come, Someone come and save my life
Could it be? This misery will suffice

Good Morning!  Just popping in to say "Hi!" and let you all know I'm alive!!

(Okay, okay . . . and check to see if there was any news for the next round of SS!)

It's that time of year here . . . we have to have all the trees topped and trimmed by next week.  DH hired three additional employees who are working out GREAT, so we hope to meet our deadline.  Weather hasn't exactly been cooperating with us.

As for me . . . I have got the entire tree farm mowed.  It's beginning to look like I need to mow the walking path (around the outside of the entire farm) . . . and of course, it's time to mow the yard again.  But hey - I'm thrilled that everything else is set for a bit!  YEAH!

Both kids leave for Group WorkCamp on Friday - they're going to Tennessee.  So I've got a lot of laundry to do so they can get packing done.

I promise I'll touch base again really soon .

    I miss you all!!

Thanks everyone for the prayers and well wishes for my little brother Christian.  Smile  He goes in for a follow up appointment with the doctor tomorrow.

It's just a lazy summer day here.  I'll be making some polska keilbasa sausage for dinner tonight.  It is a recipe from an old Taste of HOme (or maybe it was from Cooking for 2).  I will try to find the recipe on here and post the link for it.

Here is the recipe, it is very very easy.  Tonight I'll be using half apricot and half pineapple preserves.

    Apricot Kielbasa Slices

    Ingredients:

    • 1 pound fully cooked kielbasa or Polish sausage, cut into 1/4-inch slices
    • 1 jar (12 ounces) apricot preserves
    • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
    • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
    • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

    Directions:

In a large skillet, brown sausage; drain and set aside. Add the remaining ingredients to the skillet; cook over low heat for 2-3 minutes or until heated through, stirring occasionally. Return sausage to the pan; cook for 5-6 minutes or until heated through. Serve warm. Yield: 4 dozen.
