    MissLizzy's Scrappin' & Stampin' Group June 28-July 4

Here we are in the last week of June already.  Fireworks went on sale this weekend for the 4th of July.  I love fireworks!  There was a lady on TV that said that her family spends $1000-1500 on fireweorks every year.  Can you believe that!  There is no way that I would spend that much especially when we have several good fireworks displays around us.

I did manage to do a little scrappin' today.  I got delayed when I had to find the replacement blades for my Coluzzle knife.  I thought I had some and I was right once I finally located them.  It sounds like Denise had another eventful trip so far.  Hope the rest goes more smoothly for her.

It stinks that coluzzle is discontinued. It's impossible to find the cutting mats already. I don't know about the blades.

Lazy day here. Watched some racing and took a nap. The kids were out playing in the sprinkler when I woke up. Tonite we watched the Princess Protection Program movie on disney. hayley has been waiting months to watch it so we DVR'd it for her. It was pretty cute.

    Enjoy the boys Denise!!

I have tried three tmes to get a post on the thread last week ....plus I am having to log in each time which is a pain in the patoote..... so not sure this one will stay.

MARY we love fireworks also .... but here in Texas we have the burn ban on so wont be any .... we live around terrible dryness so will have the water hoses situated and try to keep a watch out as we have a voluntary Fire Department.

CASSIE honey, it sounds like you are too tired too much .... but with all those kids I can see where they would be the varmint.... perhaps you need meds for anemia or low B's.  I really love love  my anemia med.

COLUZZLE  has great templates and you're so correct when they discontinued the blades and the mats ... what are we who were collectng to do now .... HOWEVER   on a scrapbooking store there was actually a lady using actro knife with a coluzze .... I was astonished and havent tried it yet .... as with a shakey hand can you imagine the shape of the coluzzle ?

Well gonna go ... hope DENISE has a great vacation!!   she does get to travel alot so its glad she enjoys it.  Hugs, Granny

    Good morning, everyone.

It's a lover-ly day in SE WI. We started out on the patio, then yard and garden work.

MARY, fireworks not allowed in WI. Although, you still see and hear the noise. Most of the towns have big fireworks shows. We can see the high ones from our city park from our backyard. I may be making a few cards since my IL DD brought me a Score-Pal.

DENISE, oh, boy, another luggage crisis. Enjoy your visit.

CASS, DGD told me I would like that movie, too. Sounds like my kind, 'cause I don't want scarey ones or alien ones.

GRANNY BARBIE, how are things with you and Papa?

Our DGS is home for a week to play soccer and have fun in his town for the Fourth of July. He'll be back with us next week.

    Have a good week.

Good Morning, It hasnt been too hot and muggy yet, although I went to swimming lessons with the kids yesterday and it was in the college aquatics center, because they are teaching lessons and want the kids to be comfortable the place is like a sauna.... guess I saved $$ on a facial. Not doing much since the kids are in camp and then swimming lessons... and boy do they need that! Austin is scared of the pool although he is getting better. Thanks for all of the good wishes for a good trip, it is just nice being away. You are all right, it does seem as if I do take lots of vacations, but it sure doesnt feel like it. My sister just came in and said we were going to QVC. Might go on the tour. Wonder if they give out samples! LOL if so I want to be in the hobby line! LOL Not sure what the rest of the week entails, I know that we dont have time to go to Philly with the kids which is what I really wanted to do. The only really free day is SAT. and somehow being in Philly with 2 kids on the 4th of July does not sound like a fun time for all.... do I hear hot and crowds... overly large crowds, Nope not going to happen. Well it is time to see what the day brings. Take care all and have a great day.

My sister has the great idea of enlarging about 5 pictures of Dr. Seuss characters and painting them on the walls of the boys bedroom. We have an overhead and got the overlays done yesterday, bought acrylic paint and will be using sponge brushes... sure hope it goes as well as I hope it does as I have never done this before. I think she waited until I got here because I am supposed to be the "crafty one" those are my words not hers.... since this is about the first time I ever remember her asking me for help like this I guess I had better come through. LOL Thank goodness they are fairly easy pics to do. and the colors are basically primaries with no shading.... although that I can do. If anyone has any comments, hint or to do's or not to do's please, please let me know soon. I guess we will see how it goes with the first enlargement. We are tracing them off with pencil since I couldnt figure out what else to use. Wish me luck. Obviously no stamping these 3 weeks. WEather heere has been fairly good, rain is at night and rather light so no problem humidity hasnt been bad.... lets keep it that way please. Havent done much, went to the QVC tour and got on tv... Tuesday... did anyone see me???? LOL darn and I just had my 15 sec. of fame! Her next door neighbor is the blonde host... I think his name is Rick...says he is very nice havent met him but have met his wife... she is. Well off to get breakfast or my sister will be starving me..... yeah like that is going to happen. Have a great one all.

Oh boy, did I get my come uppence. My sister can draw lots better than I can and I have figured out I am not a cartoonist. Give me flowers, give me trees and fruit, do not give me signs, lions, and whatever else I am supposed to be drawing... remember the overhead projector??? well it seems that the light bulb which I thought had gone out... $35.00 later did not go out... the thing stopped working... FREE HAND she asks....I am horrible. I figure the kids will like it but hey, for once I wanted to shine... not here I am not... so please do not hire me as a faux painter for your house. LOL Well off to a tree a dog and some leaves!

    Re: MissLizzy's Scrappin' & Stampin' Group June 28-July 4

    Good morning!!

It' has been hot here the last couple of days. Finally got our pool up and it has a leak somewhere. Ugh! I guess there is something to try and fix it but we are not even sure where it's leaking. Somewhere along the bottom seam we think.

Anyone have any big 4th plans? We're going to a friends for a BBQ in the evening. I'll probably be taking the kids to the parade and the fireworks since he'll be sleeping the morning and has to be to work at 11PM.

Took the kids to the library craft day on weds. It was a yarn art craft where they were supposed to make animals or patterns. They each got a bottle of glue, yarn and a toothpick so they didn't get their fingers sticky. It was a cute project but the lady was a little too picky for helping kids I thought. She was really worried about the kids using the toothpick. It's easier for kids to use their fingers. She kind of scolded Hayley for using her fingers and I just said "She knows her mom doesn't care if she gets sticky fingers." One little girl had a big section of yarn on her board and the lady walked by, pulled it all off and told her she was doing it wrong.

One little girl was 8 yr old. Her mom did her whole project for her. She told her mom where to put the stuff but she did none of it. One of the other kids commented on it and the mom said, Oh it's still hers. She's the designer and is telling me everything to do. The little girl threw herself back in the chair and started pouting when her mom was talking to someone else. A little while later Connor was asking me to do part of his. I'm bad I know but I told him "No, I'm not doing it for you. It doesn't matter if it's not perfect but it's your project and you need to do it." LOL

    Have a great weekend everyone!!

Happy 4th of July!  We had a BBQ at our house last night with about 18 people here.  I'm not sure what is on the agenda today.  Feeling kind of lazy after yesterday.

Our computer has been acting kind of crazy over the past week and a friend of ours just got done going over it and trying to fix it.

Went to play miniature golf with the kids and dbil,,,I WON!!! I got the highest score!!! and I also got a hole in one. It was fun and I was lousy!!!! but then again I knew that would be the case. I am baking cookies right now...ok, so they are slice and bake.... the discussion came up when I made them small.... everyone here wants them large. I figure that if they are small you can eat more and still eat the same amount.... but if they are big then you only get one or two??? Which do you prefer... large or small? Funny thing is that when I buy cookie cutters for myself, I like the large copper ones. Go figure! Not sure what is happening with fireworks tonight the kids usually go to bed at 8 and they are out in about 3 minutes. Fireworks wont be until about 9:45 tonight. Maybe we can see them from the balcony.... Austin has decided that we should stay home and view them from here and that way if anyone wants to go to sleep they can... and that also means they dont have to take a rest or nap. LOL My plane leaves at 10 tomorrow and it is at least an hour to get to the airport so will have to be up early... yuck! Took Brandon to TRUs to pick out a birthday present.... I told him he got 50... told Austin he got 20-25... well Brandon picked out a bat and ball for 6. and Austin got 2 Wii games... go figure that one out!!!! I dont like toys r us... I find it boring! I dont think Brandon knew he got to spend $50.00 ahhh the innocense of children. I will give him some $$ as that is what he said he wanted but didnt get.... he wanted 100 pennies. Dont have that but wonder if he will be happy with bills? LOL
