The Rose Room ***Thursday, July 2nd, 2009***

Morning all. Uff da but I'm tired! I worked 5 in a row and one night off and now I'm on 2 of 4 and Friday is a 12 hour shift. Thank goodness I'm off Sat thru Thurs of next week! Having trouble with the blood sugars this week - wonder why LOL. I slept for 10 hours the other day and woke up to a BG of 48. Haven't felt good since.

Weather has been cool and moist - not wet, just "moist". Highs have been in the low 60's which is a relief from that hot weather we had. Suppose to be nice for the weekend - low to mid 70's and partly cloudy. We are having a picinic at the folks Saturday afternoon. Only one of my brother's is in Missouri this year so will be nice to have one of them home. Not sure if we are doing the fireworks at the folks this year or not. Last year we waited until my brother's came home and had a labor day celebration. This year nobody really has the money to get them. We can all come to my house this year and sit on my front yard and watch the ones from the city if we want.

well, hope all are well. Sending those fuzzies and lots of love!

    Hi Rosies!

Supposed to be very warm (HOT) here today at 92°.  All I've got going is to babysit Hayden this afternoon.  Will go over there as it's during naptime.  Will grill up some teriyaki chicken for supper.

Very worried about Bill.  Maizey, please keep us posted.

Dianae, glad you survived your parents visit.  What are your kids doing this summer to keep busy?

Pat, where are you packing for now?

Hugs to all.  Have a great Thursday!~~~Laura

Laura, I don't want to hear about your HOT 92* weather....in my car at noon it registered 102*....now that is HOT!!!  We are heading to the Lake again like we did for Thanksgiving with our friends! There is a HUGE party all day Saturday with all their neighbors....the 3 homes sit on the lake with connecting yards. We are leaving  tomorrow morning and will be back Sunday evening!

Did my Sams run, and have laundry going...just need to start getting things together and vaccume!

Good afternoon Roses.  Been super busy today.  We get tomorrow off for the holiday so I'm trying to get stuff done.  Not being very successful, though.

We have the kidlets all weekend.  Trying to find something fun to do with them. We have a 1st b day party for Shawn's cousin.  She's a sweetie.

Have a safe and fun 4th of July!  See ya Monday.

{{{{{Maizey}}}}} - Keeping Bill and you in my prayers.

IM - Hope you get the blood sugar straightened out.

Pat - LOL Miss Clairol at 6:15.  Whatever works for you.  Your a busy lady.  Enjoy your trip to the lake.

Amy - Enjoy the kidlets this weekend.  Happy 4th of July.

DD and I went to breakfast this morning with some of our long time friends.  DD grew up calling them "Aunt".  Some of her friends here wanted to know how come she had so many aunts and uncles.  Smile  I think they were very pleased that she wanted to see them.  After breakfast we did some shopping.  Just doing our part to help the economy.  I stopped at the drug store then headed home.  DD is out again.

Better go start dinner.  Have a wonderful evening.

    Hi Roses!

A beautiful day today.  You're right, Pat, Laura and I should be really happy about this weather.  It will be high 90's for the weekend but right now it's just about perfect.  We have some wind that is keeping us cooler than what the thermometer says.  It's coming from the Coast so it's keeping us from feeling the heat!

That's nice that your dd still likes to visit her aunts, Dori!  I loved all my moms friends.  Some lovey ladies...I wish they were still here!

That's neat that Sean likes to cook at home too, Dianae!  I hope you let him take over the kitchen. I love when Joe cooks. He does cleanup but the cooking is his forte'.

I'm sure you're already gone, Pip. Enjoy your nice long weekend.  You too, Pat. Sounds like fun!

When I went to the gym there was this girl who was probably about 17-18 who had tatoos all over her body. Arms, lets, neck...everywhere but her face.  It looked like she and a "friend" had probably dipped threads into red and blue ink and just had their way with a really horrible tattoo job.  I felt so sorry for her.  I'm sure she regrets what she did. It was really awful,.  She had a very nice figure and was very pretty but ruined.  So, so sad.  I suppose it could be lazered off but think of the expense.  Oh gosh, if young people would only think of the consequences.

    Later gators....000000xx

Good Late Evening, Buds!  DORI:  We had "aunts" & "uncles" that were not our blood kin.  One couple who were friends with my maternal grandparents were so good to us!  The man was my Grandfather's best friend.  This couple did not have kinds.  They would take us to their beautiful house & BBQ for us &we would have a sleep over.  I miss my Uncle Robert & Aunt Clif...Sad  PAT:  We hit 104* today!!!  I tell you, we are BROILING down here!!!  Everything is so dry that we are under a "Burn Ban".  The Police Departments & Fire Departments are telling folks that if they shoot fireworks & a fire results, that they will be held accountable for any damage.  PIP:  Enjoy you weekend & the 4th with Shawn & the kidlets!  IMSPECL:  I hope that you have a good night.  When your vacation time arives I hope that you really enjoy it!  LAURA:  So you got to see Hayden today!  I bet that he is growing like a weed!  ROMA:  That's nice when the men cook, isn't it?!  RARE treat!!!  MARYANN:  How is the job situation???  I hope that you have a great 4th of July!!!  Well, Rosies!  Gotta scoot!  Later, Taters!!!  ~Jeanne
