    Here's Breakfast ~ Tomato Gravy and Biscuits ~

    Perfect for the Big Beefsteaks getting all ready to Pick ~

     

    Tomato Gravy and Biscuits

     

    Ingredients

     

    4 slices of bacon

     

    16-oz can of diced tomatoes ( can use fresh)

     

    1/4 cup flour

     

    1 cup milk

     

    salt and pepper to taste

     

    Buttermilk biscuits

     

     

    Fry the bacon till really crisp.  Remove and drain. Crumble.  Add the flour to the bacon drippings and cook for about one minutts to create a Roux..  Add the tomatoes, milk, bacon and salt and pepper to taste if desired.

     

    Split the Biscuits open or leave whole.  Pour the gravy over the Biscuits ~

    GM,WOW this sounds so good no question about it my husband will also love it as well as I.Years ago my husband used to eat tomato gravy on pancakes,i have not made it in years.

    Gm  Betty and Nancy, Coffee This one is on the menu for Sunday ~  Someone posted a great sounding homemade biscuit recipe on here a while back.  I'll track it down and hopefully there will be a review on both ~  Janie ~ 

     

    This just sounds too good to pass up and Yep nancy,  No eggs !~  lol
