    Editing to add: It was the step of left clicking the mouse before hitting the Ctrl 3 to change color that I was leaving out. Embarrassed

    This is driving me nuts. I am on an apple desk top. I can hit the mouse and then the control 2 but it doesnt change anything... ok, one more time....

    The  small black letters now  appear somewhat non descript.
