Yes, Karen....we are all very comfortable here.....as you can see from the light-hearted bantering.  It's just a nice, pleasant group of ladies who enjoy some late-night conversations.  Hope you'll feel the same way after you've gotten to know us.

    azbonnie:

Oh, Kim, I haven't been to a movie in so long it isn't even funny!  Gretel, I can't imagine being so "friendly" towards bats!  Of course, I'm terrified of any kind of bird.

Bonnie, bats are not birds so there is no need to be afraid of them or of birds. Both try to avoid hitting humans. If my little friend would be on the inside of the cloth I would be tempted to pet it, very carefully because it looks so fragile, It's only abut 2" to 2 1/2"long but I guess the wing span woul be more like 8" to 9". With it around I don't have many bugs around the house, usually have "MIllers" (moths) trying to get in when the light is on but not with "Batty" around, it keeps skeeters in check, too.

Yes, already 10.30 and time for me to hit the hay. Want to get up early to get my canning done although the high will only be around 76. WE are looking for 83 on Sunday and then it will cool off again into the 70s.

Still usually July and August can get very hot.

Well I wish all of you a GNight and will let you know how my experiment with canning bananas turned out.

kimsonmerk, Hamilton is a little sw of us but have never heard of Buckhorn, Ky. My husband was born in Middlesboro...do you know where that is? It's right close to the Cumberland Gap. Yes, he thoroughly enjoys being out and about. Told one of his buddys on the phone today he wasn't going to sit down, give up and die! Good for him, cause I'm not ready to give him up!

Goodnight, Gretel!  Kim, how sweet for you to wait for my return!  Sandi is so crazy--when I don't take her out when she wants to go, she gets on my lap, crawls onto my head and bites my ears!

No, Karen...I don't know where Middlesboro is...I'm really not very familiar with the area at all....just that my dad was born in Buckhorn....we visited once when I was in high school.

That's great that your husband is not letting age get in the way of living a good life....I think so many people let their age slow them down even when they are in good health.  He seems to have a great outlook.

Bonnie...she must have been so happy to see you and mom when you returned!  Is mom still enjoying her company...I know she turned out to be a handful....but she seems like such a sweet companion for the two of you.

Karen, I agree--don't let age get to you!  Mom is 88 and blind, and she still gets around quite well--anyone who doubts that will try to beat her to her favorite machine at the casino!!! LOL

Oh, trust me, Kim, Sandi is still a handful (BTW, Karen, Sandi (aka Taz) is my dog!).  She won't let us out of her sight!  I had to run to the bank real quick today and she sat at the door and cried the whole time I was gone!  We love her, though.  I bought her this neat treat ball that you record your own voice into and when she rolls it around, it talks to her and spits out treats!  She had us rolling on the floor laughing at her tonight!  Then last night, she had a bone in her mouth and jumped up on Mom's lap.  Mom was eating a cookie, and Sandi dropped her bone and stole Mom's cookie!

Thanks for the information about 'Ctrl + 1', that's  good to know. I do keep getting this 'BOLD' print though...I will pass all the happy wishes on to my husband in the morning. He went on to bed an hour ago. Have you ever considered making a cobbler or pie with your sour berries? Are the 'buffalo' berries a big berry?
